Chapter Twenty Seven
Mac's POV
"Derek what are you doing here?" I asked the Alpha werewolf who was casually sitting on my bed. I just came back from the library.
"You told me you were going to do some research on your family and I wanted to help." He said and grabbed one of the books from my arms. I wanted to know more about my mom's birth family, because they were obviously supernatural. I needed to learn more about what I was.
"Derek, you have a lot to deal with already." I said grabbing the book back. He did. I was there when he discovered the sign on his door from the Alpha's. It took some convincing for him to tell Isaac and I what it meant. Peter helped a lot with getting the info out.
~Flashback~
We all stayed at the warehouse that night. Surprisingly Derek actually cuddled with me after we showered and changed. When our heads hit the pillow we were out and I woke up in his arms. It was amazing. But Peter being Peter came in and woke us up. Of course I laid there and pouted for a little while.
After waking up completely, we headed to the old Hale house. I was walking next to Derek, Isaac in front of us and Peter behind us. I noticed a symbol on the door and looked at Derek confused. He didn't say anything. Peter stopped everyone with his condescending voice.
"You haven't told him everything yet, have you?" Peter asked Derek. Derek looked at Peter with an annoyed expression. Isaac and I looked at Derek.
"What do you mean?" Isaac asked Derek.
"Why do you think Derek was in such a hurry to build his pack? So eager to strengthen his power and his number? When there's a new Alpha, people take notice." Peter spoke again.
"People like who?" I asked them. Isaac pointed to the door and walked up to it.
"What is this? What does this mean?" He asked, referring to the symbol I seen on the door earlier.
"It's their symbol. "Derek said, "And it means they're coming."
"Who?" Isaac and I asked together.
"Alphas." Derek said.
"More than one?" Isaac asked confused.
"A pack of them." Derek responded.
"An Alpha pack. And they're not coming. They're already here." Peter said. Isaac and I looked to Derek concerned.
"What does he mean already here?" Isaac asked.
"They put the sign on the door, so obviously they are already in Beacon." Peter's irritating voice said sarcastically. We all glared at him for a second.
