Your POV

I woke up after a great sleep that wasn't in a Cryopod. After I took a nice shower, I put my jumpsuit back on and grabbed my glasses. I glanced at the time on my Pip-Boy as I put it back on and saw that it was already 10:15 in the morning. I then sat down at the desk in my room and activated the holographic computer. Then, using the sources that Ozpin had suggested to me, I began going through the internet for information on everything that I had missed in the past 60 years.

After a few hours, I had gotten myself almost completely caught up. Luckily, during the 60 years I was on ice, nothing extremely dramatic had happened. I learned about the creation of the White Fang and their recent actions of violence. I learned that Vault-Tec had also gone out of business and was shutdown only a few years after the Vault was sealed. I was more than relieved to find out that my favorite drink company was still in business. I didn't know what I'd do without Nuka-Cola.

I decided to stop there for the day so my brain wouldn't be fried. Sure my brain could sometimes process new information rather quickly compared to most people, but it was just a slight side effect of my Semblance. I heard my Pip-Boy go off and saw a message from Yang.

I saw that it was already around 2:30 in the afternoon

I saw that it was already around 2:30 in the afternoon. While I waited for Yang, I started playing a game on my Pip-Boy. After awhile, I heard a knock on my door, so I exited out of the game and answered the door. I saw Yang standing there, holding two bottles of soda. One was a bottle of something called Sunflower Drop, probably for herself, and the other bottle was a familiar clear rocket shaped bottle of dark colored soda with a familiar red sticker on the side.

I smiled and said, "Hey, Yang. Come on in." I closed the door behind her and she said, "Oh, here's your Nuka-Cola." She handed it to me and I popped off the bottlecap. I took a nice sip of it and said, "Ahhh. That's hit the spot. Tastes just like I remembered." I set my drink on the nightstand as I sat on my bed and turned to Yang, who had a puzzled look on her face. Then she said, "So what did you want to talk about?"

I sighed and said, "I wanted to thank you for being so nice to me yesterday when we first met. You were the first person I met since..." Yang raised an eyebrow and said, "Since what?" I took a deep breath and said, "Since I left the Vault." Yang looked at me confused and said, "Vault? What are you talking about?" I looked down and said, "Yang, have you ever heard of Vault-Tec?"

She shook her head and replied, "No, I don't think so. Why?" I sighed again and answered, "Vault-Tec was a small science corporation that was located in Atlas with the sole purpose of providing safe havens in case of an overwhelming Grimm attack. Their plans were to build a fallout style vault in each major city that could be used in the event of a Grimm attack. They only ever built one in Mountain Glenn to my knowledge. I assume you know about Mountain Glenn, right?" Yang nodded in understanding and I continued, "When Mountain Glenn fell, and everyone was forced into the underground tunnels, some people were granted entry into the Vault there. Unfortunately, a few years after the Vault was sealed, Vault-Tec went out of business and was shutdown. Most people don't remember anything about Vault-Tec."

Yang nodded again and said, "What about the people in the Vault?" I sighed and said, "When they first entered the Vault, they were put unknowingly into Cryogen Stasis Pods and cryogenically frozen in time." Yang looked at me and said, "How do you know this?" I sighed once more and replied, "Because I'm the only one who survived."

Yang's jaw dropped as she sat down next to me and said, "What do you mean?" I took a deep breath and said, "Most likely due to the lack of maintenance on the power generator, the Vault experienced power failures and all of the Cryopods had critical malfunctions along with their life support systems. For some reason, mine malfunctioned in a different way and defrosted me. Everyone else died, including my parents." Yang wrapped her arms around me as she hugged me and said, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry. Since Mountain Glenn fell about 60 years ago, you've been frozen for that entire time?"

I nodded and said, "Yep." Yang looked me in the eyes and said, "So that's what you meant by I was one of the first people you met since you left the Vault?" I nodded again and said, "It's why I was so confused when you and Blake asked me about the initiation." Yang smiled and said, "Well, that makes a lot of sense now. Do you mind if I tell my teammates about this?" I nodded and said, "I don't mind at all, I just didn't want to be bombarded with questions, so I figured I'd just tell you or Blake since I met you guys first." Yang nodded and said, "That makes plenty of sense. If you ever want to talk, you can come to me." I smiled and said, "Thanks, Yang." She smiled as she let go of me and said, "No problem. I'll see you around, Y/N." Then she left the room and I thought to myself, I'm glad she was so understanding about it. I picked up my Nuka-Cola and took another drink as I thought about how much had changed in just the past 2 days.

Yang's POV

After I told my teammates about what Y/N had told me, Blake spoke up and said, "Wait, Vault-Tec? That's where I remember that logo from!" I looked at Blake and said, "You mean the logo on his jumpsuit?" Blake nodded and said, "It's the Vault-Tec Corporation's logo." Weiss replied and said, "That must be his Vault Jumpsuit that he's wearing. The numbers on the back would indicate the vault number of the Vault he was in." I nodded and said, "Oh. Wait, how do you know this?" Weiss rolled her eyes and said, "My family's company had a brief connection with Vault-Tec before it was shutdown. It was one of things that I read about in my studies growing up." We all nodded in understanding and Blake said, "It must be hard for him. Waking up after 60 years, and everything you knew and loved is either gone or changed beyond recognition." I nodded as we all thought about what she said.

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
Master out.
