Your POV

It had been about a month since Yang, Jaune, Ren, and I had given my parents the burial they deserved. Yang had been out on a mission with her team for the past couple days while I decided to just stay home with ED-E and relax a bit. As I was watching some TV, I heard ED-E suddenly let out a bleep. I turned to see him hovering towards me and I said, "Huh? What do you mean?" He beeped again amd I said, "I mean I never really thought about it. It couldn't hurt though. But I'd rather have Yang with us before we go."

ED-E beeped in agreement and I said, "Besides, I'm not 100% sure where exactly it is." ED-E beeped and I heard my Pip-Boy go off. I checked it and saw that ED-E had sent me the approximate location of the place. I rolled my eyes and said, "Well, that'll help. But I'm still going to wait for Yang before we go."

Just as I said that, I heard the front door open and Yang said, "Wait for me before you go where?" I turned to see Yang walking into the room and I said, "Eddie suggested that I should visit the village that my mother grew up in. But I said that we should wait for you to get back from your mission first." Yang nodded in understanding and said, "Well, I'm back now. But would it be okay if we waited until tomorrow to leave?" I nodded and said, "That's fine. I can tell how exhausted you are from the mission. Was it a successful one?" Yang smiled and said, "Yep. Just a simple Search and Destroy near a small village. But I did find something interesting on the ground in the woods near the village while we were still looking for the Grimm's nest." I raised an eyebrow and said, "And what's that?" She smirked as she reached into her jacket pocket and pulled out a familiar looking figurine.

I stared at her and said, "Another one? I guess we can just add it to the collection." Yang nodded and said, "I had a feeling you would say that." She walked over to the small display shelf on the wall and put the figurine next to the other two that were already on there. Then she walked over to the staircase and said, "I'm going to head upstairs and take a shower. You're welcome to join me if you want." I smirked as I turned off the TV and said, "Don't mind if I do."

The Next Morning

I yawned as I woke up and opened my eyes. I turned to see my naked girlfriend still fast asleep on my chest. I smiled and ran my fingers through her golden yellow hair gently. She smiled in her sleep and nuzzled her face into my chest even more. After a while, I felt some movement from her and watched as she yawned and slowly opened her breathtaking lilac eyes. She looked at me and said, "Hey, Blue." I smiled warmly and said, "Hey, Goldilocks." She moved closer to me, snuggled up against me, and said, "So you're sure about visiting the village that your mother grew up in?" I kissed her head and said, "Yes. I believe that Eddie said the name of the village was Graygarden, I think." Yang nodded and said, "I assume you know how to get there?" I replied and said, "Eddie gave me coordinates of the approximate location of it. I figured we'd take Yellow Jacket to get there." Yang thought about it for a second and replied, "That sounds good."

Yellow Jacket was the new motorcycle I had gotten for Yang since she sent Bumblebee off a cliff when Blake and her had fought Adam back in Argus. I surprised her with it as a gift for our anniversary last year. I had even attached a custom mount onto the back of the motorcycle, right behind where the passenger would be, and designed it to be able to completely secure ED-E to the bike so he wouldn't be struggling to keep up behind us. Needless to say, that night was very passionate and heated.

After a couple more minutes of just laying in each other's grasp, Yang spoke up and said, "Well, as much as we both want to stay here in bed, we both know that it'll easier and a bit safer to travel there while the sun is up

After a couple more minutes of just laying in each other's grasp, Yang spoke up and said, "Well, as much as we both want to stay here in bed, we both know that it'll easier and a bit safer to travel there while the sun is up." I sighed and said, "Yeah, you're right." We both got up and got dressed for the day. Once we had gathered everything that we might need on this journey, Yang tossed me the keys to Yellow Jacket and said, "Since you have the coordinates of where we're going, it's only fair that you drive. Plus, it is where your mother grew up." I nodded and whistled for ED-E, before Yang and I went outside to the shed. I took the motorcycle cover off of Yellow Jacket and walked it out of the shed as Yang closed and locked the shed behind me. I hopped on the bike and started up the engines as ED-E came over and landed on the custom mount on the back of the motorcycle. Ysng hopped on behind me and wrapped her arms around my waist as she said, "Let's hit the road."

After we had taken a Bullhead from the Island of Patch to Vale, we started our journey across the continent of Sanus towards the coordinates that ED-E had given me. As we rode through the forests and mountains throughout Sanus, I kept regularly checking our current coordinates to the ones ED-E gave me. As the sun had almost fully set, I could make out what looked like a small village in the distance. I checked the coordinates and the village was right on them, meaning that the it was none other than Graygarden itself. I let out a sigh of relief and said, "There it is. Up ahead. We made it." Yang moved her mouth near my ear and said, "We sure did." Once we got to the entrance of the village, we were stopped by a sheriff-looking person, who said, "Welcome to Graygarden, my name is Nick Valentine. What's your reason for coming here? Business, pleasure, or just passing through?" I spoke up and said, "Pleasure, I guess. It's a long story, but my mother grew up here a long time ago."

Nick nodded and said, "I see. Well, you're more than welcome to speak with the mayor tomorrow morning if you want. You two can spend the night at Lily's Inn for now. It's just passed the Doc's Clinic." I nodded and said, "Thanks." He nodded and let us through. I parked Yellow Jacket on the curb outside of the inn, which had a neon sign that read "Lily's Inn". I turned to ED-E and said, "Hey, Eddie. Would you mind watching the bike overnight?" He let out an affirmative bleep as Yang turned to me and yawned before she said, "Let's get a room for the night, I'm tired." I looked at her as we entered the inn and I said, "Why are you tired? You weren't the one who drove the entire way here!" She smirked and said, "I didn't get this hot and gorgeous without my beauty sleep." I rolled my eyes at her and said, "It's a good thing I love you." She smiled and replied, "I love you too." I smiled and approached the front desk to get us a room. I didn't see anyone there, so I rang the bell to get someone's attention. I heard a woman's voice call out from the back and say, "Be right there."

After a brief moment, an slightly older looking woman with brown hair came up to the counter and said, "Hello, welcome to Lily's Inn. My name is Maria Onyx. Is it just the two of you?" I nodded and said, "Yes. We just need one room for the night." She nodded and said, "I see, that'll be 20 Lien." I nodded as I reached into my pocket and pulled out the Lien before handing it to her. Curious, I spoke up and said, "If you don't mind me asking, why is this place called Lily's Inn if your name isn't Lily?" Maria smiled and said, "Oh, I don't mind you asking that at all. This place was named after my mother, Lily Diam."

I gasped and said, "Wait, did you say Diam?" Maria nodded and said, "Yes, why?" I sighed and said, "Because that was my mother's maiden name. My mother was Iris Diam before she married my father, Silver L/N." Maria gasped and said, "Iris was my mother's sister. That would make you her son, Y/N L/N. But you're way too young to be him!" I let out another sigh as I felt Yang place her hand on my shoulder and I said, "You're right. I am Y/N L/N, I'm a Vault dweller from Vault 180. I was under Cryogenic Stasis for 60 years with everyone else, including my parents. But I'm the only one who survived. I'm also the Courier's Grandson and I have my father's revolver to prove it." I set Ranger Sequoia on the counter and Maria stared at it in disbelief. After a couple minutes, she spoke up and said, "I'm so sorry for your loss. Seeing this revolver more than proves that you're telling the truth. That would make us cousins." I smiled and said, "Yeah, I guess it would. It's nice to know that I still have some family left." Maria smiled warmly at me and said, "You're welcome here in Graygarden anytime. And is this young lady your girlfriend?" I nodded and said, "Yes, she is. This is Yang Xiao Long, the love of my life and my girlfriend." Maria smiled at the two of us and said, "It's nice to meet you two. Welcome to Graygarden." Maria handed me the key to our room and said, "You'll be in Room 147." I thanked her before Yang and I headed to our room for the night.

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
