Your POV

We all noticed Qrow walking up the stairs and Ruby said sternly, "Where are you going now?" Qrow replied, "I don't want to get in the way of your celebration." She said, "You've been gone all day! Just sit with us." Qrow sighed and said, "Look, Ruby, I'm glad you kids worked out, uh, whatever all that was. But the fact is, we're not a single step closer to Atlas." Jaune spoke up and said, "Actually, I think I have an idea. But... it's sort of a 'no-going-back' kind of idea." Ruby replied, "Well, let's hear it." Jaune explained, "With Cordo on watch, only Atlas airships have the clearance to leave for Solitas. So... we... steal an Atlas airship." He nervously shrugged at his last statement. Everyone gained shocked looks on their faces. Adrian giggled in Maria's arm. Weiss was the first to reply, "That's not just breaking the law. That's... that's definitely worse." Yang asked, "How would we even get onto the airfield?" Jaune replied, "That part I haven't quite figured out yet. But I─"

Qrow interrupted him, saying, "Okay, stop. Just... stop! Look, if this thing goes south, it's not something we can just fight our way out of. This is the Atlas Military we're talking about." He sighed before adding, "For your sake, just drop this." Everyone looked down with discouraged looks on their faces. Ruby noticed this, turned back to Qrow with a determined look on her face, and said, "I want to hear him out." Qrow started, "Ruby..." She said, "I want to hear him out! I know you're trying to protect us, that you're afraid we can't do it, but right now, I don't really care what you think!" Qrow gains a shocked expression upon hearing this, while I just smirked as Ruby continued, "Just because you don't have an idea, doesn't mean we're out of options! Oz hasn't been here to tell us what to do, but we still managed to get this far anyway. We've been in bad situations before, and we don't need an adult to come save us or tell us what to do. We just did it our way! And I say we do it our way." Everyone smiled as Ruby said, "And if you think you can keep up with us 'kids'... we'd be happy to have you." Qrow looked down sadly and didn't say anything. He looked back to Ruby while she looked back at him determined and I said, "She has a point, Qrow. Besides I think that I might have an idea for how to get onto the airfield."

3rd Person POV

Cordovin said, "Ah, I was relieved to hear that you came to your senses, Miss Schnee. Many of us were devastated when we heard you would be attending... Beacon Academy. Knowing that you'll be returning to Atlas just warms my old heart. And it's absolutely wonderful to hear that your friend here is a Vault dweller. It's been awhile since I have seen or heard from any Vault dwellers. It only makes sense that he'd want to visit Atlas after leaving his Vault. Especially with that Eyebot of his." Pretending, Weiss said, "It was... time to get my act together and go back to my roots." Cordovin replied, "Oh, I can't wait to see you follow in your sister's footsteps." Weiss said, with an unenthusiastic smile, "Absolutely..." Cordovin added, "I'm sending two of my best guards to personally escort you. Make sure General Ironwood hears that part." Cordovin winked and walked away. The first Nubuck Guard said, "Allow me to assist you with your bag." He walked over to pick up Weiss' luggage and said, "My, what a heavy bag!" Keeping her grip on her luggage, Weiss said, "That's alright!" The first Nubuck Guard replied, "Nonsense!" Then the second Nubuck Guard said, "Allow me to assist as well!" Weiss replied, "I can take care of it by myself!"

As Cordovin walked away, she overheard Weiss and the Nubuck Guards conversation. She stopped in her tracks and gained a suspicious look on her face. Saphron noticed this and whispered to Adrian, "Just like we practiced." Adrian nodded at his mother. The baby then let out a loud wail that can be heard throughout the base. Adrian "cried" as he fussed in his mother's arms. Pretending, Saphron said, "Oh no! Look at that, he's just going to miss you so much! You should hurry on out of here!" The two guards hupped over to Adrian as they performed weird poses to amuse him. Cordovin continued walking with an unamused look on her face.

Your POV

While they were distracted, Weiss, ED-E, and I quickly got onto the airship with the luggage behind her and said, "That was close." I nodded as ED-E beeped in agreement and I said, "Yeah. It was." Ruby said over earpiece, "Is everything okay?" From inside Weiss' luggage, Maria said, "Call me heavy... It's all muscle! I'll show them a thing or two about heavy!" I ignored her and said, "We're on board." Weiss then took care of the two Nubuck Guards while ED-E, Maria, and I headed up to the cockpit.

Weiss walked over to us by the controls with Maria and I taking the two pilot's seats and she said, "And you're sure you two can fly this?" Maria replied and said, "Missy, I was the Grimm Reaper! What part of 'best Huntress of her generation' don't you understand?" Weiss replied and said, "Right, but your eyes." Maria chuckled as she noticed a small device plugged in the controls. She took out the device and plugged it into her goggles. Text on one of the screens read "TRANSMITTING SENSOR ARRAY DATA" as Maria's prosthetic eyes grow more wide and she said, "You were saying?" Weiss answered and said, "That you said your eyes were in desperate need of repair!" Maria cut her off as I rolled my eyes and plugged my Pip-Boy into an open port on my side of the cockpit. My Pip-Boy synced up with the ship, allowing me to also take control as a copilot. Seeing me take the controls as well, Weiss ultimately relented and put on her seatbelt as Maria and I started to fly around.

After we finally managed to leave Argus on the airship, I felt a hand on my shoulder and saw Yang standing there. I turned to her and said, "I'm sorry you and Blake went through that nightmare. But, I'm glad you were there for Blake in time." Yang smiled and said, "We were there for each other." I smiled and said, "I remember something that my dad used to say. If you focus on what you left behind, you will never be able to see what lies ahead." Yang nodded and said, "I like that." I nodded as I continued to help Maria pilot the airship.

Then Qrow spoke up and said, "Hey, if you've never seen Atlas in person before, you don't wanna miss this." Everybody else walked up to the cockpit window and Ruby said, "Is it weird that I'm sorta nervous?" Then Yang replied, "No, I'll believe we've made it to Atlas when I see it." Weiss said, "Well... believe it." The airship comes out of the clouds, and the floating city of Atlas is seen coming into view. Nora commented, "Wow!" Maria said, "You know, you make the trip up to Atlas over and over, but you never get used to that view." Then her prosthetic eyes start to act up again and she said, "Oh, come on!" Weiss leaned forward and had a nervous look on her face. Ruby noticed this and asked, "Weiss, what is it?" The rest of us looked up, and noticed that above the city of Atlas, there were many Atlas Airships. She replied, "The Atlas air fleet... I knew all of our ships were called back, but..." Qrow said, "They're set up like they're expecting an attack..." Suddenly, the radio turned on and we heard Atlas Air Control say, "Manta 5-1, welcome home..."

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I'm almost done with this book and I already have a great idea in mind for the next one.
Master out.
