"I'm done here," Kanai turned to leave, but came face to face with a spear.
"I can't let you leave," Nana sounded from behind her, "I've lost too much getting you back, besides," she giggled, "Your mother wants to say hello."
Shikamaru pushed the spear away from Kanai, "What do you mean?," he furrowed his brow at the village's leader.
"Shika," Kanai uttered his name through gritted teeth.
He looked back and saw her chakra surrounding her.
"Kanai!," he reached for her arm, but she stopped him.
"Get them out of here," she looked up. The iris of her eyes had turned black to match her pupils, "Take them back to Konoha," she growled, "Now!"
"Shikamaru," Ino pulled on his arm, forcing him to abandon the one he loves. His teammate dragged him out of the village and into the forest. He wouldn't let himself look back, mostly in fear."Now darling," Nana stepped away from her throne, "Please calm down. You remember what happened before, don't you?"
"Don't call me that!," she quickly turned around, shooting a mass of chakra from her hand to the throne. It crumbled to the ground and the townspeople stared in horror at the monster before them.
"Kanai!," Nana yelled at her, "Listen to me-"
"No!," she shrieked, "You listen to me! I did everything you said for seventeen years, and you repay me by hurting my friends! I hate you!," Kanai's chakra expanded around her, "I hate you! I hate you!"
The guards backed away from her, some fleeing from the village with the civilians.
"Kanai," a sweet voice lightly called her name as she destroyed a market building.
The orange haired beauty looked over her shoulder and saw another woman with long orange hair. This woman smiled at her and folded her hands in front of her body, "It's been so long, my sweet child."
"Momma?," Kanai relaxed and her chakra sunk back into her storage. Her eyes went back to their natural color and she moved towards the woman.
"Yes my pet," she held out her arms, "I missed you so."
Kanai slowly leaned closer to her. Then she noticed a smirk slightly spread across this woman's face.
"How dare you," Otazowa raised her fist and struck the woman's face with a heavy blow.
She flew backwards into another building, smoke surrounding her body. Once the mist cleared Nana took the other's place.
"Alright," she stood up, "You asked me to do this," Nana discarded her robe, revealing a black, spandex suit. She raised her right hand, an open palm facing her subordinate, "NinjaArt- Sealing Jutsu!," she cried, "Dark Entanglement!"
Kanai looked to the ground as something similar to Shikamaru's shadows crawled towards her. The chakra around Kanai formed a sheild and portected her from the shadows on the ground that came up like a snake ready to strike.
"You can't beat me," Kanai teleported to stand beside her teacher, "So give it up," she placed her hand on Nana's face then forcefully slammed her into the concrete village streets below them.
Nana cried out in pain as her skull connected with a blunt rock.
"I trusted you with my life, and you betrayed me," Kanai crouched beside her, "So now I'll end you."
The free ninja pulled a kunai from her pouch and held it to the woman's neck.
Nana reached out with a shaky hand, trying to push Kanai away.
Otazowa proded the blade closer to her skin, "I love you, sensei."The group of eight stopped once they heard a building fall behind them.
"What was that?," Ino gasped for air.
Hinata activated her Byakugan and let her vision run to the village, "Kanai," she stated simply.
"I have to go back," Shikamaru ran back the way they came.
"Shikamaru, no!," Ino shouted, "She's not under control right now!"
"But what if she gets hurt?!," he roared, causing everyone to fall silent. "What if she dies to protect us?!"
"Shika-," Ino started to protest, but sought it useless.
"Now, I'm going back for her. I have to. She never gave up on me and I will not walk away when she needs me," he kept his voice low this time.
"Go," Hinata stepped forward.
"Hinata," Sakura tried to deny her saying that.
"If it were Naruto I would do the same," the newest Uzumaki turned to face the large group, which included a slightly smiling Uzumaki, "You would all do the same for the ones you hold dearest, especially you Kiba."
Her canine teammate nodded, thinking of his daughter who was waiting at home for her father to return, "Ruma always waits at the door for me with Kiri in her arms," he smiled at the memories he had.
Hinata looked back to Nara, "Go back to her. Leave the Hokage to us."
"Right," he would have flew if he could, heading towards Kanai's village.
