"Kanai get up. Lady Tsunade's yelling at you," Shikamaru poked her in her side.

"Ugh," was the only response. From outside the leader of their village was yelling for someone to let her in.

"Kanai. PLEASE," he poked her cheek.

"Uh-uh. It's your house and your front door she beating on," she buried her face in her pillow.

Shikamaru grabbed her chin and made her look at him. He kissed her,"Please?"

"Ugh," she groaned," I have to do everything don't I?," Kanai walked from Shikamaru's room to the door and swung it open,"What do you need Granny?"

Nara smiled at her,"She never learns," he said to himself.

Tsunade had an annoyed look on her face,"I need to talk to you it's urgent."

"Must be. Not everyday does the Hokage herself come to Shika's place," Kanai ran a hand through her long hair.

"Exactly. Now please step outside," Tsunade gestured and Kanai stepped out of the air conditioned home into the heat filled world surrounding it.

"I need you to tell me more about where you use to live based on what your teacher told you," Tsunade got straight to the point.

"Oh. You mean Nana-sensei. Sure. She told me that before it burned down that we lived in a small village. It was a while back but my parents borrowed money from some people and they couldn't pay them back. The bad people burned our village and at the time Nana-sensei was my fathers teacher, so she protected me from them. She said that my parents were very powerful something or other's, I don't remember. Anyway that's all I know about the village," Kanai saddened at the thought of her dead family.

"Where did Nana-sensei take you after the village?," Tsunade asked and sat down on the concrete stairs leading to the front door.

"Well," Kanai did the same,"we moved around a lot. Nana-sensei was always protecting me from those people. They still want the money even though they know I lived in a cave for six or seven years."

"I see. And when did you meet Shikamaru?," Tsunade rested her chin on her hand.

"A long time ago. Probably when we were 3 or 4. I already told Naruto this, you should talk to him more," Kanai leaned back and looked up at the clouds.

"I would but he's busy with Hinata," Tsunade fixed her hair.

"Oh how are they doing?," Kanai almost jumpped up.

"According to Sakura, pretty well acctually," Tsunade chuckled at the girls excitment.

"Great can I have my girlfriend back," Shikamaru stood at the doorway and leaned on it.

"Shika be more respectful! She is the leader of the village after all," Kanai snapped back," But yeah Granny can I go back in? It's hot out here."

"Yeah you can," she stood up,"I'm through with you for now."

"Alright bye Granny," she waved.

"You need to talk to Naruto less," Tsunade called back.

"Alright, I'll try," Kanai said as she and Shikamaru snaked back inside to the cool air conditioner.

Ruma went home after talking with Hinata. Her mother didn't greet her nor acknowledge she was there. But the commoner was used to it. It never bothered her, why start now of all times. Ruma walked up to her bedroom, which she rarely ever used, and closed the door. She leaned up against it and took a big breath in and then let it out.
