Shadow: (uncertainly) Maybe you should take her? (Holds Emily out to Sonic)
Sonic: (confused) Why, Shadow? You're great at holding Emma.
Shadow: (while handing Emily over to Sonic) Holding her, yes, but I've never strapped her into a car before. I mean, what if I scratch her with the seatbelt?
Sonic: Shadow, (straps Emily in) How long are you gonna beat yourself up over one tiny mistake? So Emily bumped her head, she's a robot, it's not going to be like the ARK invasion.
Shadow: I think it's just... I suck at being a father.
Sonic: (appalled) What are you TALKING about?! We're new at this.
Shadow: (irritated) Yeah, but look at you! You're such a natural. I mean, you walk into the room and her eyes light up, and you change her clothes with one hand. Sonic, I'm honestly jealous of your childcare skills.
Sonic: (calmly and lovingly) There are so many things that you do which I can't. I mean, you robot-proofed the whole house, and you took care of all the adoption paperwork. Shadow, without you we wouldn't have a child to accidentally injure.
Shadow: (calmer) It was only a few forms, actually, it was a lotta paperwork.
Sonic: And you got her on those preschool waiting lists.
Shadow: I can't believe we're have to wait until she's old enough.
Sonic: (happily) See? This is what makes us a great team, we both have our own strengths. Now, who are the ultimate parents?
Shadow: (quietly) We are.
Sonic: (jokingly) I can't hear you~.
Shadow: (louder) We are.
Sonic: And don't you forget it. (Closes the car door and accidentally locks it. When he realised, he struggled with the lock) Oh Chaos! We just locked our baby in the car!! (Realises his keys are gone) Shadow?! Did you put the keys in the bag?!
Shadow: (concerned) I put the keys in the bag, but—
Sonic: (angrily) Damnit, Shadow! I told you not to put the keys in the bag!!!!! (To Emily While trying to stay calm) Sweetie, it's ok! Pappy and I'll think of something!!
Shadow: (singing) A B C D E F G.
Sonic: (angrily again) Are you seriously singing to her?! People get arrested for this!!
Shadow: (sarcastically) Well I'm sorry for trying to keep Emily calm!
Sonic: I'M BREAKING THE WINDOW!!!!!!!!! (Runs far away)
Shadow: (over his phone) Hey, Rogue. I locked my baby in the car and people are judging me.
Sonic: (While running up to the car) I SWEAR TO CHAOS I'M GONNA BREAK IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
Shadow: (angrily) DO NOT BREAK THE WINDOW, SONIC! YOU'LL GET GLASS ON HER! (To Rogue over the phone) I've been trying that.
Sonic: (stops at the car window) Don't worry, Emily!!!! Daddy'll save you!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Five seconds later)
Shadow: (To Sonic) Check the door, Rogue said it's unlocked.
Sonic: (While struggling with the door handle) It's not unlocked, Shad— (The door opens) Oh, (relieved) that is amazing! (Takes Emily out and hugs her)
