"Are you sure you should be here?" Saki asked loudly when I walked through the front doors of the agency. The room fell silent as all eyes turned to me.
"I'm still a pro hero." I scoffed. "This is still my agency, and until I take my last breath, I am still your boss." I scolded. I don't care if someone wants to check on me; I don't mind. However, nobody should ever embarrass me in front of half of the agency like this. My eyes focused back on Saki, who looked guilty.
"Nothing to see here!" Kaminari yelled loudly. Slowly but surely, everyone turned back to what they were doing as I walked across the room, dragging my oxygen tank behind me and, unfortunately, using the cane for balance. I would be fine if I weren't lugging this damn tank behind me.
When I stopped in front of Saki, she flashed an apologetic smile.
"I'm so sorry!" She blurted. "I saw you and everything you have, and I panicked." She frowned while looking me up and down. "I got worried, and my heart fell to my stomach and-"
"Saki, it's fine." I sighed. "Just please, don't do anything like that again."
"I won't, I promise." She reassured. "I'm glad you're here, though. Someone has been waiting to talk to you for three and a half hours."
"Who?" I asked. I don't have any appointments, and I'm not expecting anyone.
"He said it was about the U.A. Killer." She shrugged. "He refused to talk to anybody but you. Believe me; we've all tried." My body tensed up when she said what it was about. Was somebody actually coming forward with a helpful tip?
"Where is he?" I asked.
"He's in the first conference room on the left." She motioned her hand towards the far hallway.
"Kaminari, can you run up and grab everyone? Bring them down to the conference room. I want you guys there for whatever he has to say." I asked.
"Yeah, we'll be down in a few." He responded before turning and heading to the elevator. I thanked Saki before slowly making my way to the conference room. When I opened it, a gentleman sat in one of the many chairs surrounding the large table. He was maybe mid-forties. He was stocky with a round belly and a receding hairline. He stood up when he saw me.
"Deku!" He said in a rushed tone. "I don't have a lot of time, so this will have to be quick, I'm afraid."
"It's alright. I'm sorry I made you wait so long, Mr..." My voice died off as I waited for him to give me his name.
"Kiyoshi." He replied quickly.
"What can I do for you?" I asked while pulling one of the chairs out. I took a seat and motioned for him to do the same. He sat down and slid a CD toward me.
"I own near where your husband and the other heroes got murdered recently." He started with a sad smile. My heart squeezed in my chest, but I ignored it the best I could. "I was out of town until last night, so I'm sorry I couldn't come sooner."
"Why are you here exactly?" I asked. If he just came here to tell me about him owning the shop, this would have been a waste of time.
"I had a camera hidden in the alleyway." He tapped the CD in front of me. "It isn't online, so it wasn't traceable anywhere. Only I knew it was there." The alleyway where my husband and classmates were murdered?
