"Kookie, do you want me to wait for you?" Jimin asked the younger when the classroom almost became empty.
Well, everyone went to discuss about the projects they got with their partners at their own favorable places.But Jimin who's project partner was waiting for him, felt bad to leave his best friend alone, especially when the boy looks so lost.He felt like he shouldn't leave the boy alone.
"It's ok, Jimin.I'll be fine." Jungkook spoke to the elder, more like to himself.He wasn't fine, not when Taehyung asked him to meet him in the professor's cabin after the class.But he didn't want to be selfish and stop Jimin from working on his own project.
"Are you sure?" Jimin couldn't help but ask yet again.
"Yeah.I'll call you later." Jungkook replied, passing a small smile to his concerned friend who understood that Jungkook doesn't want him to stay.
Jimin nodded his head in understatement and left the classroom after giving the younger a much needed bro hug.He doesn't know what's bothering Jungkook so much but for now, he just hopes for the boy to be fine all by himself!

Jungkook sighed in nervousness as he stood in front of the door on the surface of which a small, black nameplate was attached.The name 'Kim Taehyung' was written with gold colour on it beautifully.
With a heavy yet thumping heart, Jungkook knocked on the door.All the time while standing there, he repeatedly told himself to act accordingly in front of Taehyung.He just hoped that his heart would beat normally and he wouldn't embarrass himself in front of the elder male.
"Come in." Came the deep voice Jungkook has a thing for from the other side of the door after three or four seconds.Jungkook took a deep breath and entered the room as soon as he heard Taehyung's voice.
"Oh, Mr. Jeon! Please take a seat."
Jungkook looked up only when he heard Taehyung's voice.He mumbled a small 'thank you' before setting down on the opposite side of table from where the professor was sat.He looked down at his lap, fidgetting with his fingers as he searched for appropriate words to start a conversation.
What would go wrong anyways? He just has to talk about starting the project and yeah, he'd also let the handsome professor know that he can complete it all by himself.
"So, how are you planning to start the project?"
Jungkook looked up with wide eyes when he heard the other's question.He blinked his eyes stupidly before panicking internally.For some reason, his voice wasn't ready to come out even though he knew exactly what to reply.
"I-I....I can complete it by myself, Mr. Kim." The first words that left Jungkook's mouth shocked the boy himself.Well, his response was totally different than what he wanted to say.But what's said is said.
What can he do now?
Jungkook gulped, feeling like a fool before looking up at the professor who had his eyebrows raised in pure amusement.It made the boy look down at his lap again as he cursed himself mentally for how arrogant he might have sounded earlier.He bit his lower lip harshly, waiting for Taehyung to say something.
"Hmm..I'm sure, you can Mr. Jeon."
The aforementioned boy peeked up at Taehyung through his eyelashes, wanting to see if he was being mocked but heaved a relieved sigh when he saw no such expression on the man's face.
"Judging by your marks and problem solving skills, I knew that you could complete the project alone.That's why I didn't pair you with anyone from your class.Most of them will be needing help to finish their assigned projects and getting help from a classmate will be beneficial to them during this period of their life.I volunteered to help you because I certainly didn't want them to assume something like, I think of you as the best student among them." Taehyung explained, looking serious as ever and Jungkook could only nod at that.
He didn't know whether he should feel good or bad at the moment.After processing the man's words, he understood that Taehyung had faith in him that he has quite a grip over Maths.But Taehyung certainly didn't think that he was the best student of his teacher life.
Ooops...That hurts!
"S-should I j-just leave then?" Jungkook bit his lower lip as he looked at the professor with wide eyes after a few moments, not really knowing whether he should go out of the room already or not.
"No.You'll work on the project in my cabin.That way, others won't come to know that you're doing it alone and even though I know that you won't need it, still I'll say that you can ask for my help in case you need it." Taehyung spoke and Jungkook gulped yet again, finding it hard to even think of doing his project when Taehyung will be near him.
"A-alright Mr. Kim." Jungkook said after a while, his heart almost ready to jump out any moment.
"And oh.. I leave the university at 6pm everyday.So you can work on your project here till that hour." Taehyung said, looking at the boy who nodded his head silently.
It was rather amusing to see the boy nodding his head as his only response most of the times.He couldn't help but wonder why the boy doesn't use words much to respond to something he's asked!
"If you're ready, you can start working on it from this moment itself." Taehyung continued, already having an idea that Jungkook wasn't much of a talker.So he decided to make the boy feel at ease by being the first one to say something everytime the situation seemed to get awkward inside the room.
As per his observation, Jungkook looks like an introvert who becomes shy easily.The pink tinted cheeks of the boy and the way he'd bit his lips in a nervous way before saying something only confirmed Taehyung's assumption about the boy.
"I....Umm...I don't have any....I mean, I n-need to prepare some t-things before I actually start the project." Jungkook mentally strangled himself for being so awkward in front of Taehyung.Never in his life ever he has faced such a situation before.He was never so underconfident but now look at him stuttering like that....
Damn...it was humiliating to his self image!
"Ok then, prepare everything first and then start it from tomorrow." Taehyung nodded his head in understatement, his eyes darting at the boy's features who looked so ready to hide somewhere far away from him any moment.
The boy was really something!
Taehyung couldn't really pinpoint...
He got a bit startled when Jungkook stood up from his seat abruptly, feeling a bit relieved that this time he managed not to stutter this time.He bowed 90° in front of the professor before taking a step back.He just hoped that he wouldn't act so awkward from the next day
"I'll take my leave then, Mr. Kim." The boy mumbled to which he recieved a smile from the man.
But it wasn't what gave him the shock of his life.
Instead, the words, or I say, the last word that left the professor's mouth before he could get out of the room gave him almost a heart attack.
"Yeah.See you tomorrow, Jungkook."
