Chapter - 38

It was really dark outside when both Taehyung and Jungkook decided to walk back home.For the past one and a half hour, they took a slow walk outside.Taehyung showed Jungkook the places where he used to play during his childhood days, explaining a few stories from his memoryland every now and then while Jungkook listened to his early life stories and gawked at the beautiful places with so much interest.

"This is where I lost my first kiss."

Jungkook stopped walking as soon as he heard Taehyung mumbling in an unsure tone.The boy felt his chest tightening at the newfound information but soon enough, he composed himself.Past is past and he knows that he's pretty much capable of stopping it from ruining their present.And that's what he's doing at this moment by not letting himself be upset over that incident which might've happened years ago.

"To whom?" He couldn't help but ask though.

"My ex-girlfriend." Taehyung sighed, looking at Jungkook hesitantly.Earlier, he didn't even realise that he voiced that unnecessary sentence out loudly and now that he realised it, he isn't sure how Jungkook might've felt after hearing him.

"Oh...H-how old were you back t-then?" Jungkook asked again, resuming his walk.

"Umm...sixteen."

And for one more time, Taehyung's voice made Jungkook stop walking.The boy turned around while raising his eyebrows in amusement.He didn't really expect a sixteen years old Taehyung to have a girlfriend, not after knowing what kind of a person the elder male is!

"It all happened after Jin hyung and Joon hyung joined the university.The girl happened to be my classmate and also a good friend.It was her who proposed me first.Usually, I would turn everyone down in such cases but I couldn't do that to her when I saw how hopefully she was looking at me at that moment.I didn't want to lose such a good friend.So, the dumb me accepted her proposal even though I didn't at all want to." Taehyung explained, clearly understanding why Jungkook was looking at him like that.

"May I know why you two broke up?" The question left Jungkook's mouth even before he could register it.Suddenly he was interested in knowing why someone like Taehyung might've separated from that unknown girl who used to be his good friend.

"Well, I thought, as a couple, we'd be holding hands and go on cute dates whenever we can.According to me, they would be the two new things added to our friendship once we became a couple but she didn't think the same.That day, we were returning from school while having a talk about our relationship.It was clear that I wanted to take everything slowly while she wanted more from me.I kept denying her, saying we were just teens but she was desperate, too desperate that she kissed me without my consent in this very place.I was shocked.I didn't expect it from her at all.I tried to stay calm for the time being, thinking it wasn't her fault to kiss her own boyfriend but when she kissed me for the second time and I still couldn't feel anything, I decided to talk to her about it.I let her know that I liked her as a friend and I wouldn't be able to you know...give her the love she deserved from her lover.At first, she didn't agree with me.But as the time passed, she also accepted it.That's how we ended up breaking whatever we had between us." Taehyung pursed his lips in a thin line as he stopped talking.

"So....your first kiss doesn't hold a good memory?" Jungkook asked, his voice turning soft towards the end.

"Isn't it obvious already?" Taehyung replied, looking at the boy who, for some reason, was busy in his own thoughts.

"Hyung." Jungkook who stood there silently for a while called for the ender, his voice was barely above a whisper as he closed the distance between his and the Taehyung's body in the next few seconds.He then cupped the elder male's face tenderly.
