SEVENTEEN YEARS AGO... 

"Mommy, where are we going?" the six years old Richard asked her mother. Ngumiti ito sa kanya saka umupo at ginulo nito ang buhok niya.

"Tita Hana gave birth to your cute cousin and we'll gonna meet them soon." She said and his eyes sparkling in delight. Since he was the only child in their household, he can't stop himself to squeal in excitement because the Thompson are like family.

"Really?! Mrs. Thompson's child? I will become a kuya?!!" excited niyang sabi at nung tumango ang Mommy niya, hindi na niya mapigilan na yakapin ito. "That will be cool! Yays!! I want to be a kuya!"

"Are you guys ready?" tanong ng kanyang daddy. Nakangiting tumakbo siya para yakapin ito at nagtatalon siya sa tuwa.

"Yes daddy! Let's go! Let's go!" he said and his parents both laugh at his cheerfulness.

Nung umaga ring iyon, nagtungo ang mga 'to sa ospital at agad na tinungo ang kuwarto ng tita Hana niya. Pagkabukas pa lang ng pinto, nagtatakbo na siya para lumapit at masilayan ang maliit na supling na kalong kalong ng kanyang tita.

"Hiii!" masigla niyang bati.

Until now, Richard doesn't know what to call the couple. His Mom told him to call them tita or tito but somehow, he's too shy to call them since they just moved here in their place.

"Hello my dear Richard." Mrs. Thompson smile at him. She then held the newborn baby for him to see.

Nung makita niya ang baby, hindi niya mapigilan ang sobrang tuwa. The feeling is so unbearable for him that he felt so proud like a real brother who just had a little sibling.

Pinagmasdan niya ito ng mabuti at kinilala. The baby is sleeping so peacefully and it looks so delicate on his eyes.

"It's sleeping.. soo cute.." he mumbled unconsciously while his eyes is still glued to the baby.

"She's cute like you."

Napatingin siya kay Mrs. Thompson at lalo nanaman siyang nagulat sa kanyang narinig.

"It's a girl?" gulat niyang tanong at nakangiti itong tumango.

"Do you want to touch her?" she told him and he nod a lot of times before he poke the baby's cheek. He giggled when his finger felt the fluffiness of it. It was really soft.

"So soft..." he said and he heard his parents and the couple laugh. He looked at them in wonder before Mr. Thompson, his new favorite uncle, pat his head.

"She's so much like you." He said before he touch his cheek and pinch it a little. He didn't flinch but he blush instead. Hanggang ngayon eh nahihiya pa rin siya rito. His Mom said that this uncle is her step-brother. He doesn't know what step-brother mean but it's close to brother, her Mom said. But eversince na makilala niya ang mga 'to, he can't stop himself to come over in their house to play with them. Uncle Thompson is so nice to him that's why he likes him so much. He's like his father too, very gentle and caring.

Napayuko siya sa hiya at bumaling ulit ang tingin niya sa baby.

"What is her name?" he asks sabay hawak sa maliit nitong kamay. He can't stop himself to touch her.
