10:42PM—Naruto: Suigetsu didn't leave you stranded at a party did he?
Naruto started to feel concerned. The fact Sasuke was messaging him was enough to worry him that maybe something was wrong, what he didn't know was everything was actually just fine.
10:44PM—Sasuke: No I'm home
10:45PM—Sasuke: And no i didnt go to party just Suigetsu's house
While Sasuke wouldn't put it past Suigetsu to leave him stranded at a party, he thought it was funny that Naruto would assume that. However Naruto on the other hand was only feeling more confident that Sasuke really does like Suigetsu.
10:46PM—Naruto: Oh
Naruto didn't know what to say, let alone what not to say. All he wanted to do was ask if the person that Sasuke likes is his friend. But he knew better than to ask him something so personal. It wasn't his place to butt in and question him. He adjusted himself in his bed so he was more comfortable, he couldn't help but feel this heavy feeling in his stomach that told him to put those thoughts aside and go to sleep. However his phone vibrating again kept him from closing his eyes.
10:49PM—Sasuke: Can i ask you something?
Sasuke knew his next question would be touchy but he couldn't help but wonder, he knew a lot about Naruto, but something's he knew he probably shouldn't of known unless it came from Naruto himself. He wanted to know him more than just the rumors around school, he wanted to know the truth.
10:50PM—Naruto: Sure...
Anxiety started building in Naruto's stomach, the fact he had been holding back any questions and Sasuke was just openly asking to ask questions really shocked him. But what the dark haired man was about to ask was not anything of what Naruto thought he'd ask.
10:52PM—Sasuke: What really happened to your parents?
Naruto couldn't believe the words on the screen that he was reading. It wasn't what happened that made it hard for him, it was the fact it was Sasuke asking to know it. His thumbs started to shake and his stomach was completely turned. He wasn't sure if he should respond or if he should keep it simple. The thought of lying was also roaming his thoughts but he couldn't do that to someone he considered a friend, someone he was certain that he liked more than a friend.
10:55PM—Naruto: They we're murdered..
Sasuke's eyes widened to the response. He knew it was bad but he didn't know it was that bad. Even though he knew he pushed a little to far, the alcohol in his system made him think there was no issue to asking the blonde this over the phone. There is definitely a background story behind his parents murder but he did decide that maybe over text wasn't the right way to continue this conversation. Before he could respond Naruto retaliated with a question.
10:56PM—Naruto: What happened to your parents?
If Sasuke wasn't surprised already he sure as hell was now. His stomach also seemed to curl up when he read the question, he knew he'd answer but it wasn't something he'd ever thought Naruto would ask. But it was only respectful to respond.
10:58PM—Sasuke: They we're murdered when i was 8
Naruto felt a drop in his stomach. His parents too? He thought to himself, his mind starting going wild and before he knew it his phone went off again.
11:00PM— Sasuke: I'm sorry..
Sasuke's started to feel bad for bringing up such a topic, he hadn't really expected for it to take such a turn. He closed his eyes and moved to lay on his back. He let out a deep sigh feeling the world around him spinning. He was definitely drunk, which didn't help his ability to feel sympathy but for some reason knowing it was Naruto he was talking to really changed that perspective. His phone vibrated on his chest where he had set it.
