Chapter 46: Crack

Saturday night was filled with nothing other than getting high and watching TV for Suigetsu, the little friends he had stopped talking to him and Jugo was still holding his understanding grudge against him. His feet were up on the table in front of the couch as he leaned back into the cushions, it was getting to the point that it was exhaustingly boring.

After discovering Naruto had been released from the hospital who knew it was only a matter of time before he returns back to work. Suigetsu had already been applying and scoping out for a new job but has had little to no luck finding one. When he shut the tv off to get ready for bed his phone vibrated.

9:47PM—Unknown: Konoha Auto...10:00PM

"Hm?" He questioned out loud to himself. Why the hell would he listen to some stranger, and how the hell did they know where he worked. Apart of him wondered if it was Naruto but of course after the accident he figured there was no way he was able to walk, let alone ride his bike. Even though he knew he shouldn't, he couldn't help but be curious.

9:50PM—Suigetsu: Good thing I live close but I'm sure you knew that.

Suigetsu stood to his feet and grabbed his car keys, he was still in his regular clothes so no need to change. There was this feeling in his stomach that he could only question whether or not bringing a weapon was necessary. Although the only thing he had was pepper spray and a decent size pocket knife. Whatever or whoever it was, he'd be able to fight off if something went south.

After starting his car and pulling out of his driveway, he headed towards his work as his mind was going turmoil on who it was wanting to meet up with him. If it really was Naruto was he willing to talk things out? What if it was one of his friends setting him up? What if it was Sasuke setting up someone to beat him up. "Tch whatever, I can handle my own." He said as his eyes narrowed onto the road.

When he arrived he parked in the empty lot, no cars were out front, not even any customers vehicles, he hesitated to get out. There was street lamps that lit up the area enough to see that there clearly wasn't anyone else there. He shut the engine off and stepped out of the car leaning his back against the door after closing it before pulling out his phone to message whoever it was that told him to come here.

9:58PM—Suigetsu: Okay I'm here what now? I even showed up early.

Naturally he was being a smart ass which was more common then none. There was questions that came to mind thinking of who the person was and what they wanted. Of course without knowing, he was going to receive these answers and he wasn't going to like them.

Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a pack of Marlboro Red cigarettes and sparked one as he brought it up to his lips. When he puffed taking his first drag and putting his lighter back into his pocket simultaneously, he saw the shape of legs walking towards him from a far. The street lamp didn't reach as far as the person heading towards him started walking. The closer they got the more he could see their features.

Black shoes with dark blue jeans and a black hoodie slowly appeared from underneath the light. Suigetsu could tell that it was a man walking towards him, their hood wasn't up but he couldn't quite see the details this far.

It wasn't until he saw spiky hair that he noticed the man's hair was yellow like the sun that he realized it really was Naruto and he was alone. By the time the blonde had made it in to full sight distance Suigetsu had puffed his last hit and tossed the half smoked cigarette onto the ground before pushing off from the car and using his shoe to put it out.

Naruto stopped about nine feet away from the white haired man, his eyes and head hung low looking at the ground as if it was more interesting then being anywhere near this guy. Suigetsu hadn't bothered to take a step forward towards him, he figured Naruto wanted to meet and talk about what happened, but sadly he was mistaken.
