"Ichiraku right?" Naruto said trying to hide the fact he was nervous from being in the car. Iruka hadn't noticed but only assumed he'd be on the defensive side while cautiously watching the road. "All you can eat!" Iruka said to ease the anxiety he assumed Naruto was going through.Subconsciously the blonde tugged on his seat belt making sure it was tight before moving his gaze from the road to out the window, not wanting to make himself be more scared than he already was. He swallowed harshly and closed his eyes allowing his uncle to drive freely without interfering, he didn't want to ask any more questions or talk really at all feeling as if it may be distracting.
When they arrived to the restaurant and the car was put in park, Naruto unbuckled so fast that Iruka hadn't even seen him do it. He exited the vehicle and overly stretched as if it was a long ride but really he was trying to ease the nausea that formed in his stomach from the drive.
For the next hour they had spent their time talking and eating, Iruka asked him about a girlfriend which in response he told his uncle that he has a boyfriend. Of course just like anyone else that is 'related' or friends with the blonde was absolutely accepting towards it. "So is it Sasuke? The one that was in the accident with you?" Naruto happily smiled not even thinking back to the accident, the only thing he could think of while talking about the man was the incident in the hospital. He tried to hide the blush that cut across his face but that of course was not as easy to hide as he thought.
After dinner was done Iruka drove Naruto home, he helped him carry his stuff up to his apartment where music was heard from the inside. Naruto looked at Iruka who was looking back at him with confusion. He let out a sigh before putting his house key in the door knob and turned it. "Jiraiya is staying for a couple of days." He said as if answering the question Iruka had been wanting to ask.
When they both walked in, they set down his belongings and looked over to the kitchen where there was a small beat box on the counter with an antenna sticking up playing some kind of old school music. Jiraiya had been cleaning dishes with his back turned to them, he hadn't even realized they walked in.
"I'm home!" Naruto called out grabbing the older man's attention, he quickly turned around with soap on his hands and his eyes widened. It wasn't but a split second that he charged across the kitchen and living space before wrapping his soapy arms around him and hugging him. "Naruto! So glad to have you back!" He said as he tossed and turned side to side not letting loose in the slightest.
"Old man l-let me go." Naruto said as he felt his lung capacity shrinking from the squeeze. "Sorry kid." His godfather said after releasing him, the older man's eyes met with Iruka's as he threw on a happy smile. "Iruka! What a pleasure to see you!"
"Save it. Just dropping off Naruto, which by the way, make sure you get some rest okay?" Iruka started saying to Jiraiya before turning his attention back to the blonde. He smiled before making his leave not wanting any part of the older man's shit show.
After settling in and taking a shower in his own bathroom he dressed himself in his favorite sleep pants that were blue and a soft toned orange shirt, he made his way to the kitchen to grab a water bottle from the fridge. His godfather had been sitting on the couch watching a rather inappropriate movie which of course Naruto paid no mind to. "Hey kid." Jiraiya said pausing the tv from playing. "Hm?" Naruto hummed after cracking open the water and looking at his elder.
"I think we need to talk." From the voice he was giving Naruto knew exactly where he was going with this conversation. He sighed heavily before taking a seat at the dining room table which of course wasn't far from the living room. "Okay...let's talk." He said completely dreading the conversation.
