part 21. high

calum:
hey, can you come over?

violet:
like.. right now?

calum:
yea that's what i meant when i asked that question

violet:
alright smartass
yea i'll come over, just gotta finish up at the store

calum:
okay, see you soon

violet:
are you gonna send me your address?

calum:
oh right yea, i'll send it over in a second

violet turns her phone of, slipping it back into the pocket of her green hoodie. she arranges the rest of what's in the box she's holding, taking it over to the store room once it's empty. finding her aunt inside.

"calum asked if i wanna go over to his place," violet tells lisa. "is it okay if i go now? or is there anything else you need me to do?"

"you go have fun, sweetie," lisa smiles. "i've got it from here."

"okay, love you, aunt lisa." violet hugs her before turning around to leave.

"love you too, violet."

violet heads back over to her apartment, only going to grab her car keys. she isn't too bothered with changing her outfit, the white cropped shirt, blue jeans and green hoodie would work just fine for today.

she gets into her car, typing calum's address into the gps. looking like it would be a slightly longer drive than it is to get to ashton's place.

however, with it being a place in a smaller area of los angeles, the drive isn't too bad. smaller roads, not as many freeways. it goes smoothly.

after parking her car in the road outside of calum's house, she walks up, knocking on the door. and to no surprise at all, luke is the one to open up.

"hey," violet smiles. "i thought you guys might be here too."

"when are we not together," he jokes. "it's good to see you."

luke pulls her in for a hug, letting her go to come further inside. she kicks her shoes off, following luke through the house.

it's a nice place, hardwood flooring, dark coloured walls. stairs leading to a second floor as soon as you come in the front door, kitchen and living room to the right and bathroom to the left. along with a nice little area outside with chairs, leading to his back yard through the living room.

after walking into the living room, she feels something touch her legs, jumping slightly, she looks down. finding a small, black and white dog staring up at her.

"and who might this be?" she leans down, petting the dogs head gently. "hi, buddy."

"that would be duke," michael says, leaning against the doorway that leads outside. "he's calum's dog."

"he's the cutest little thing," violet says while standing back up. watching as duke runs back outside. "it's nice to see you again, mike."

she looks at him for a moment, seeing the smile on his face. "that's the first time you've called me that," he walks over, embracing her in a hug. "does that mean we're besties now!"
