10.5. Natsuno's/T/n's Perspective: Destroyed Future [3075] (♫)

A few moments later, they shifted into the ruins.
The same ruins Iori was in before.
BJ makes his way to a stop.
While doing so, T/n and Natsuno caught up to it.

Natsuno:  "Wait up, BJ!"

T/n:  "Don't leave us behind..."

Natsuno and T/n walk up to BJ and looks around the desolated place.

Natsuno:  "Geez, this is getting pretty crazy even by dream standards."

T/n:  "One second we're at the shrine..."
T/n:  "Then we're surrounded by this weird light..."
T/n:  "And now... we're in this place?"
T/n sighs deeply by how destroyed this city looked.

Throughout the horizon, there were tons of broken buildings everywhere.
Wherever they looked was just simply broken, the path their in, from one foot to the next, it destroyed all over the place.

Natsuno:  "What the heck happened to this city?"
Natsuno:  "It looks like there was a war..."

BJ projects a hologram, showing what seems to be a video of some sorts.
It was a man getting interviewed,

Natsuno:  "Ah!"
Natsuno:  "There's more?"

Hologram:  "The government has released a statement at 5:40 PM, Japan time."
Hologram:  "Communications with major cities around the world have not yet been restored."
Hologram:  "It is likely that these cities have also come under attack..."
Hologram:  "By the same unknown enemy that has besieged Japan."
Hologram:  "Domestically, multiple locales are reporting serious damages."
Hologram:  "Currently, the unknown enemy has made landfall, swarming a large steam across the bay."
Hologram:  "They are now thought to be headed in the direction of Kasumi-cho, in Sakura Ward."

Natsuno:  "That was..."

T/n:  "News footage..."

Natsuno:  "Wait, no..."
Natsuno:  "That's near our school!"
Natsuno:  "Is this...?"
Natsuno:  "Are we in our town?"
Natsuno:  "We need to know more."

BJ projects another hologram, showing another video of the news of a woman with her mic and a horrifying machine.

Hologram:  "It's hard to see here, but..."
Hologram:  "We have to understand."
Hologram:  "What can only be described as monsters have descended upon our town."
Hologram:  "It's quite difficult to comprehend..."
Hologram:  "I see seven, eight, nine..."
Hologram:  "No, there's more every time I look."
Hologram:  "What are they?"
Hologram:  "Some say we are finally witnessing a takeover of alien from space..."
Hologram:  "Could this really be the end of humanity?"
Hologram:  "Will our species not live to see past 3064?"
Hologram: "They're nearing upon us."
Hologram: "To all of you watching..."
Hologram: "Please good luck."

Natsuno: "3064?"
Natsuno: "We're in the future?"

T/n: "80 years to be exact..."
T/n: "This can't be real, can it?"

BJ starts moving again.

Natsuno: "Hey, where're you going?"

T/n: "Let's quickly follow BJ."

Natsuno: "Yeah..."

A few seconds later, they catch up to BJ.
BJ turns around to the right of the destroyed city and the two did the same.

RUMBLE, RUMBLE!

In a taken-back horrifying sight, they see the same monsters on video in their sights, rising higher than the houses and buildings above.

Natsuno: "What..."
Natsuno: "What are those...?"

A few monstrous tripods, higher than many houses, striding over young pine trees, and smashing them aside in its career; a walking engine of glittering metal, striding now across the heather. — "The War of the Worlds"

Natsuno: "I think..."
Natsuno: "We know what they are."
Natsuno: "Those things do have an extra leg, but..."

T/n: "They're just like the Tripods I saw in those shows you gave me."

Natsuno: "Weapons used by aliens to invade Earth."
Natsuno: "And now they're destroying our home."
Natsuno: "Is this really happening?"
Natsuno: "Was Earth really attacked by aliens?"
Natsuno: "Do they really want to destroy humanity?"

T/n: "BJ, why?"
T/n: "Why did we come here?"

BJ: "Search..."
BJ:  "Memory cell."

T/n: "Yes, we know, but what is that?"

BJ projects a picture that seems to look like a machine.
No, the same machine her and Y/n know all too well.

T/n: "You're looking for this?"

BJ: "Sentinel..."
BJ: "Sentinel No. 17."

T/n: "Sentinel...?"
T/n:  'Isn't that the same machine...?'
T/n:  'The same robot in 'that' movie?'

T/n: "Aaah!"
Natsuno: "Aaah!"

Just then, a Tripod emerges.
It shone its red laser in their area of standing, scanning around to find the two.

Natsuno:  "Did it find us?"
Natsuno quickly packs BJ in her P.E. bag and stand up.

T/n:  "We gotta get outta here."

The two nod to each other before sprinting away from any more danger.
