The quiet hissing sound of the doors opening, woke you up. You had neither slept much nor well and had gotten up every so often to check on your patient. He was, even now, still sleeping, and you wondered for a moment why you couldn't feel his presence as much as you had earlier. Maybe it was because he was hurt, or asleep or maybe you'd simply gotten used to it.

The two men dressed in all black were still standing guard as General Hux entered the room. You jumped up, immediately regretting it as the wound in your abdomen sent a sharp pain throughout your body. Sheepishly you patted down the bloody part of your under armour, realizing that you'd both forgotten to remove your hairnet and surgical mask, then stood as straight as you could. The day before yesterday you'd never thought to meet with General Hux, let alone the Supreme leader. Yesterday you'd have simply counted it as a great honour and today you found yourself in basically long underwear standing in front of them. Fantastic.

"Sir." You said, as he didn't speak and straightened up more.

"How is he?" Hux asked and walked over to Kylo.

"Good for his situation, Sir. He's lost a lot of blood, but he is out of the worst."

Hux nodded and attempted to lift up the blanket to see the damage.

"Sir, please don't. Please let him sleep. He needs it." Your voice was firm at the beginning but lost it, getting quieter towards the end. General Hux's displeasure with you 'ordering him around' was evident. The neutral expression turned into a disgusted frown and you did not want to imagine what he would have done to you, if it would have been anyone other than his superior lying on the bed.

The Supreme Leader had thrown you through the room and Hux felt like he could turn you into an icicle with his eyes. Looking over his nose, he analysed the broken armour in the corner then mustered you from top to bottom.

"Your appearance is not up to First Order standards." He commented.

You couldn't help but look at the bloody spot you'd left on the wall earlier. "No...Sir?" You replied, turning back slowly. Had that been a joke you'd simply misunderstood or was he serious? He couldn't be, could he? You eyed him sideways, expecting a hint of a smile on his face. There was none and instead you both stared in silence at each other for a while.

"We'll be landing soon. Prepare him for moving." Hux suddenly said and left with no further comment on your appearance.

An awkward chuckle, then a sigh escaped you as the doors closed behind him. You didn't have the energy to analyse the interaction you had just had with the General. Maybe tomorrow, but not now. Were there no scrubs on this damned ship? That way you could have at least avoided greeting him in your basically-underwear. You couldn't wait to get back to a properly equipped hospital setting where you would not have to sleep and work in sweaty, bloody dusty and especially contaminated armour underwear.

You walked over towards Kylo and did what Hux had wanted to do: lift up his blanket. You didn't do it for the sake of seeing how bad the damage was. You only wanted to check on his wounds, clean up the drainage. With some careful and light patting you soaked up the liquid that had been draining out of them. It was clear, the wounds themselves without any redness to them. As of now, no sign of infection yet to be seen.

"You're going to be well soon again, Sir. No worries. As long as the General does not decide to bother you any further." You whispered, mainly to yourself.

The Supreme Leader made an odd sound, similar to a pained distorted chuckle or to blood building up in his lungs and slowly drowning him. You hoped it as the first.
