Sometimes Kylo Ren had funny ideas. Ap'lek didn't know whether it was because he was just better at judging people or because he had an enormous ego and an I-can-do-anything mentality but suggesting to train a force blank had certainly been one of the more outrageous ideas he'd had.
Certainly not as outrageous as trying to convince a junk-yard-jedi to join him.
But Kylo Ren was their leader and so, while Ap'lek and the rest remained mostly sceptical of his new idea, they would comply. He'd told them to train her but she'd never reach their level of martial prowess. She was no force-sensitive, no especially strong alien species and neither had she been trained from birth, but Kylo Ren had told them to and so they would.
"Ap'lek. Stay," Ren ordered him to as the rest of the Knights were already leaving the conference room. "I need your opinion on this."
"Her?" Ap'lek asked. He didn't know enough about force blanks or the doctor to give Kylo an informed opinion. "I don't know, Ren, I've only met her once before."
"Training her."
Ap'lek scoffed. "Something like her, you mean."
Ren's silence told Ap'lek all he needed to know. He wasn't with the Knights of Ren for a long time, much shorter than Vicrul or Cardo, and he was a different kind of fighter with different abilities. Abilities that Kylo and Ren before him had valued. Where Vicrul and Cardo were nightmares on the battlefield, Ap'lek preferred to trap his enemies. He created elaborate plans, played with his opponents and then killed them. His cunning expertise in fights extended well beyond those and he had the unofficial second-in-command position amongst the Knights.
"As long as you know what you are potentially creating, go ahead."
"But?"
"But make sure you know how to destroy her just in case," Ap'lek added to his unspoken 'but' from earlier.
Ren nodded. He'd thought the same but he'd needed someone to tell it to him out loud. "Kill prisoner N°7."
"Now?"
"Yes."
"As you wish, Supreme Leader." Ap'lek left the conference room and headed down to P37 where the last remaining force-sensitive Resistance fighter was being held captive. He opened the door to the cell. Prisoner N°7 was in a good condition and he didn't look afraid when the Knight entered, vibro-axe in hand. It was a swift death and purely to annoy Hux, Ap'lek grabbed the prisoner's head and carried it through the Supremacy back into the conference rooms, blood dropping on the floor the entire way.

A month ago, a particularly stupid doctor had decided to approach Ushar about the Knights of Ren. What had gotten into the man, Ap'lek still didn't understand. He'd approached the wrong Knight and he'd handled the entire interaction in the most unfortunate way, resulting in his early passing. Now, the entire deck of doctors hated the Knights.
Putting the doctor, someone Kylo clearly cared about, in this nest of vipers was beyond Ap'lek's understanding. But Ren had said something about keeping her abilities a secret and making everything else more believable. Still, MD-2442 was so...weak. It was a foolish thought, of course, and entirely caused by her force blank ability but he still couldn't help but think that she was on the verge of death. To put her amongst these snakes was not a decision he'd have taken.
Watching her from the door, she held her position well. She hadn't chosen to sit far away, though Ap'lek already knew how bad the introduction this morning had been. MD-2442 chose to fight and given how relaxed she appeared; she wasn't too bothered by this situation. Maybe he'd underestimated her after all.
