Kylo did not say much to welcome the around two dozen new soldiers into the 709th legion. He stood in front of the hazmat troopers, you by his side with your arms behind your back. There were others of the 709th present, all of them in their stormtrooper uniform. They watched their new comrades with great care and you wondered whether they'd met them before.

"The 709th has not yet had the need to invite hazmat troopers into its ranks. Weih taught us otherwise. I've seen how you handled the situations, but more importantly," Kylo took a step back, putting you more into view. "I have the first-hand account of the First Order's highest ranking medical officer and now the newest member to the Knights of Ren."

You saw it in the slight movements of the corrosion corps and the mud maulers that they had not expected it. The gecko gang knew, you'd told them. You couldn't help but grin under your helmet. The handful of men in front of you, had previously looked at you with curiosity but mostly indifference. Now, that you were no longer just a random Knight of Ren, they shuffled in place, turned their heads to each other and stared at you blatantly.

He looked at you and you took a step forward, feeling compelled to also say something, but it felt impersonal and so, you detached the two cables on your helmet and took it off. You handed Kylo your helmet and extended your arms. Your squad leader turned his head to Kylo briefly, then stepped forward and hugged you tightly, picking you up and swirling you around.

"Congratulations on your promotion, 24!" 40 said and he put you back on the floor.

"Congratulations on yours! I see you all survived the base training?"

"Barely," 49 said. He'd been the first to break the formation and approached you. "I guess we have the same boss now." You could feel him eye Kylo underneath his hazmat trooper helmet.

You turned to look at Kylo, who was watching the whole thing unfold with crossed arms but with a relaxed posture. You tilted your head in question, silently asking if you could stay with them for a bit longer and he nodded, handing you your helmet and leaving with the rest of the 709th present.

Only then did the other two squads approach. They relaxed, asked a few questions here and there, mainly regarding your force abilities and how you'd even ended up on Weih. You told them about the massacre in the medical wing after finding out who'd been behind it. They laughed. None were bothered by what you'd done.

40 told you that, for now, the three squads had been assigned to be not only your personal guard but also the ones to accompany you into battle. Then you talked about your new armour and you had to promise them that it was in fact capable of surviving environments such as Weih. Only then were they satisfied.

You couldn't stay too long, you still had your meeting with Pryde but when you took off, the gecko gang followed you. Hazmat troopers were a rare sight on the Steadfast, much less so if they were accompanied by the newest addition to the Knights of Ren. The resemblance between their armour and yours was intentional, the cables and filter on your helmet being much the same. Kylo really hadn't cared whether or not people found out your actual identity. He'd told you that he considered it safer that way.

Purely for your own entertainment, you created a void, watching the colour drain and temperature drop with great satisfaction. 40 and the others noticed and when you came to halt in an elevator, he nudged you with his elbow.

"Strange that we're the ones following you now and not you following me."

"Don't think that just because I am a Knight now that I will stop listening to your expertise in battle. Every single one of you is more skilled than I am, I just have funny powers."
