Kylo didn't scold you. He asked if you were alright. You replied with a yes and then you two went to eat dinner without talking about what had happened further. He was concerned for you, not for what you'd done or what had happened. You were glad you didn't talk about more for now. You still had to process it and that was something you wanted to do alone first.

"I should talk to Rosie," you eventually said as Kylo was finishing the rest of your food.

"Tomorrow."

You nodded. It was probably for the better. She hadn't looked too good earlier herself. You unconsciously picked at your skin and Kylo put his hand on yours to stop you.

"We need to fix you back up."

"I'm fine."

"Sure, you are. Get up," he commanded.

You sighed and did as he said. Kylo put his hand on your back and guided you to the med-bay. You got what you needed and cleaned off the slight tears in your skin before putting bandages over it. "I'll end up looking like a mummy at this rate," you complained and Kylo chuckled.

"Do you need help with your back?" he asked.

You didn't want to admit that you did. Even if you could remove the bandage on your own, you couldn't reliably put the medication on the wounds and neither could you check on the small pump that dosed the medication for you. So, you sighed and stripped out of your medical tunic. He'd seen you completely naked before, seeing you in a bra should not be a problem to you or him. Kylo gave you a lengthy look, face emotionless and hiding his thoughts well. You did, too, concealing yourself from the force and smiled at him. He didn't reciprocate it, but touched your shoulder softly, motioning you to sit sideways so he could access your back.

His movements were tender but deliberate. He didn't fuss around long, ripping the bandage off in one quick movement, and wiped the salve away without hurting you. You let him do his thing, staying quiet and still until he'd put the new bandage back on.

You remained like that for a few more moments after he was done, simply staring at the floor in front of you. You could feel the salve take its effect on you. It was cool at first, then heated up uncomfortably and within the next hours you'd get a slight fever from the medication. The pump, also placed on your back and nothing more than a small patch, kept dosing the medication for you, injecting you with it at selected intervals to revert the effects of wearing the hazmat suit. There was such a long list of medication you had to take, that you hadn't even bothered reading through all the side effects. You just felt them periodically, got headaches, sudden bouts of muscle weakness or nausea. That wasn't what bothered you, though. What bothered you were the other effects that Weih had left on you. That you not only had nightmares, but waking ones too. How were you supposed to ever return into normal life with a handicap like this?

"We'll find a way," Kylo said, obviously having read your thoughts and he gently turned your face towards him, forcing you to look at him. He was smiling and so you did too, and he pulled you to him, embracing you but being very careful with how much pressure he used. You leaned your head against his torso and closed your eyes.

Maybe there'd be a way out of this after all.

Kylo watched over you like a hawk. At night, he woke you up before the nightmares even started and during the day he visited you in the med-bay every time he could. You didn't want to leave it, fearing that you'd lose it again if something or someone threatened you again. You didn't tell him that and instead pretended it was because you were afraid to see Rosie. If he didn't believe you, he didn't let it show.

You worked on your presentations in the meantime. You read through countless articles and studies regarding IV nutrients and documented your experience in great detail, comparing it with the already existing research. You hadn't liked pharmacology especially much during your studies at university and all the different made-up names for medications made your head swirl. Somehow, you got through it but the presentation on the new prototype armour for stormtroopers was much more pleasant to prepare.
