When Pryde had asked you to sit in on some Supreme Council meetings to minimise the chances that Kylo would have an outburst of anger, you hadn't thought that they'd be so fucking boring.

Honestly, you'd been here for maybe an hour...or maybe only half, but it certainly felt like it had been the entire day. You had no idea what was going on anymore. They'd been talking about various different planetary systems, then something about stormtroopers (either it was their training, acquiring more or just casualty numbers) and now they were briefly talking about Chirna (a topic, you only listened vaguely too because you had grown quite sick of its politics.) Apparently, it still wasn't decided whether or not they'd become a sort of vassal state for the First Order, remain neutral or join the Resistance. Bothersome and boring.

Usually, you tried to somehow catch Kylo's attention, let him know your thoughts through the force but he was as absent as you were, if not more. Even with his helmet on, you could see that he was staring holes into the ceiling. And when you jokingly tried to catch his attention by limiting his connection to the force, it felt...warm. You withdrew as quickly as you'd increased your void and chose to not bother him any further. He hadn't noticed, only nodded to whichever suggestion Pryde had at the moment.

Sometime later the discussions turned heated. One General accused the other one of something and the comments became personal. You sighed, audibly, momentarily interrupting their banter and over Hux's face hushed something close to a grin. You hadn't been the only one to notice and General Parnadee had to immediately jump in on it.

"Wipe that smile off your face, Armitage. I do not know why you're still here. You do not even command your own ship."

The General's face almost matched his hair colour but before he could reply, you'd sighed again, louder this time and shook your head. You couldn't be bothered to actually say something, but saw your displeasure with her ad hominem as sufficient enough to shut her up.

Pryde cleared his throat, eyes wandering around the round, briefly staying on your mask and then switched the topic.

"The spies...are they taken care of?"

Finally, something you knew and cared about.

"Interrogated and eliminated. Ushar will chase the problem down to its roots. The main issue is gone. The leaked video of our interrogation has also been scrubbed from most sources."

"It isn't," Kylo said, quiet and because no one was used to him talking in such a voice, the entire conference room went silent.

You were perhaps the only one present that dared to openly speak out against Kylo. You already saw the looks they gave you out of the corner of their eyes, expecting you to say something or be thrown against the wall for opening your mouth. "Every pointer that they knew our plans beforehand is gone. We had success in all our missions on and to Chirna. No ship was pre-emptively attacked, no secret meeting interrupted," you said, paused, then continued. Kylo took it without any emotional outburst. So far. "It all indicates that we caught them. Of course, they could have just gone into hiding after finding out we had a few of the spies in our hands, but, and correct me if I am wrong, only the Supreme Council, the Knights and less than a handful of officers even knew about the spy problem in the first place. At the moment, there is no reason to assume that we have not caught them."

Kylo was still staring ahead, not looking at you. The council shuffled uncomfortable in their seats. Hux and Pryde only watched it with interest.

"Unless, you have information suggesting otherwise," you added.

"Everyone. Out," Kylo commanded, voice booming and the members of the High Council left at once, only you remained.

You crossed your arms, waited for the mechanical hissing of the door to indicate that everyone had in fact left and then nodded towards Kylo.
