When you woke up the next morning, Kylo had his arms wrapped around you. Your back against his chest and your head resting on his biceps. You opened your eyes briefly, turned to look at his still sleeping face and then decided that you did not want to get up yet. So, you remained lying in bed with him. You dozed off again. Your dreams were vivid and confusing. In some you killed your brother, but it was always just a side-event that didn't matter because most were just focused on Kylo.
For a moment it disturbed you. You wondered why his death hadn't mattered to you, but realised that that wasn't the case. It did matter, just not in a grieving sort of manner, but in one that was filled with hatred towards the Resistance and its cause. You might have put the final nail in his coffin, but you hadn't been the one that had doomed him to die in the first place.
You opened your eyes back up again, staring at the wall opposite of Kylo's bed. Getting lost in such thoughts stirred up your connection to the dark side and you felt yourself slip from the force into a comfortable nothing. You'd get revenge.
Kylo was coming to his senses now, he moved, pulled you further against him and mumbled something about a snowman in bed with him. You turned to him, slipped out from his arms and on top of him. You had your hands beside his head, your hair was falling into his face and tickling his nose.
"You're up too early," he complained.
You laughed and kissed him, then rolled over before he could get a hold of you. He tried stopping you with the force, but it was like trying to catch a ghost with bare hands, only the other way around.
Kylo was slow to get up while you were standing by the table, your data pad in hand and answering messages you'd received.
"Come back," Kylo said, voice deeper than usual.
"I want to, but you still have an hour more than I do. Allegiant General Pryde wants to see me."
"Fuck Pryde. The Supreme leader wants you here," he mumbled and you put your data pad away.
You sat down at the edge of the bed and Kylo pulled you down and into his arms. You were laughing, playfully tried to fight him off but didn't bother using a lot of strength, because he was stronger than you anyway.
You were lying on top of him, your head against his chest and breathing in his scent. You wished that you could stay like this for longer, but you also didn't want to keep Pryde waiting.
"Kylo, later, please? Or was that a command?"
"Will you only stay here if I command it?"
"No, I want to stay but Pryde..."
"You're a Knight. The only one you will answer to is me."
You sighed and pushed yourself up a little bit to see his face. "I'd have only answered to you regardless if I was a Knight or not. Do you actually want me to stay?"
"For a moment." He put a strand of hair behind your ear. "Are you okay?"
"Yes, I am. Why wouldn't I be? The bruises are fine, they'll be gone soon enough."
"That's not what I meant. Because of your brother."
"Oh," you made and thought about it for a moment. You let him into your head, allowing him to feel the anger and hatred towards the Resistance. "I'll be fine."
He nodded and let go of you. "Go see Pryde. They'll know of your new status soon enough."
"No need to reveal that I belong to the Knights now?"
"No need to also reveal that you solely belong to me."
You moved up to kiss him again, sitting on his abdomen and taking his face into your hands. "Say something like that again and I will stay, regardless of who calls."
