Kylo's POV

For the first time since MD-2442 had started sleeping in Kylo's bed, he was the one to wake up first. She was still fast asleep and, unlike usual, she did not sleep at the very edge of the bed, but facing away from him, back against his abdomen and hips nestled against his.

Kylo had his arm over her, apparently, he'd pulled her close sometime during the night but he couldn't remember it now. He could smell the shampoo in her hair and a smile crept over his lips. It was the same he used: First Order standard. He still wondered what she'd use if she'd have access to anything else.

He closed his eyes again and simply enjoyed lying there with her so close. There was a lot of trust between them and for the first time Kylo realised that there was no one else that he could rely on as much as her. He'd become so used to betrayal and mistrust that everyone harboured towards him, that he wondered if maybe that was what had been that had made him, for the lack of a better word, fall for her.

Well. With her body now tightly pressed against his, ass against his hips, that certainly hadn't been the only thing.

Kylo moved back, becoming self-conscious about the situation. He didn't want to ruin what was between them just because it was morning, and so, he got up and went to take a really cold shower.

Doc's POV

When Kylo got up, you were only a quarter awake. You had almost wanted to complain that he left you alone in the cold bed, but, reminding yourself that you were talking about none other than the Supreme leader of the First Order, decided against it and rolled over to where he'd been sleeping.

Still in a state between dreams and reality, you heard him take a shower and felt the mattress sink in when he sat back down. You were still exhausted, probably a side-effect from adjusting the medication and your force void adventure yesterday, and not really looking forward to getting up and getting started with your day.

"Good morning," you mumbled after the responsible side of yours had taken over and forced you to at least attempt to get up.

"Good morning, Doc," Kylo's pleasantly low voice came from the edge of the mattress. "You're sleeping long today."

"Tired," you replied, yawning and turning on your back, finally opening your eyes and stared at the ceiling, blinking a few times before turning your head to Kylo and smiling at him. He was sitting at the edge of the bed, his normal pants already on but shirt nowhere to be seen. "Give me a minute."

"You can continue sleeping, you know?"

"No," you decided and stretched. "I slept too long. I won't get anything done if I keep lying here."

"And what great things do you intend to do today?" Kylo asked, bemused.

"Exterminate the Resistance. Take over the galaxy," you replied, then stopped and sat up. "No, that's your job. I just need to prepare for a meeting with Pryde."

"What does the Allegiant General want from you?"

"Something, something, doctor things related to stormtrooper health. I wrote it down. Somehow, I doubt I am anyhow qualified to make such decisions, but he asked nicely and I could not say no." Your voice trailed off as you got distracted by Kylo's naked torso. It'd been a long while since you'd had a chance to look at him so closely and so, you moved closer and lifted up his arm to get a better look at the scar tissue. "Did I ever tell you that you heal really well?"

"No."

"Well, you do," you said and ran your hand over his skin. What you'd expected to be reddish or maybe brown scars had already turned white. "Fantastic...Oh. How are you? Are you alright?"
