As the morning sun pierced through the horizon, the two weary souls awakened to face another day in the bustling city. The previous day had been tumultuous for both, marred with a plethora of disappointments and frustrations. While Jimin had managed to brush off the ill feelings and forge ahead, Jungkook remained sullen and brooding, much to Jimin's chagrin. Despite his apparent dissatisfaction, Jungkook kept his silence, engrossed in a business call as they navigated the city's busy streets.

Jimin, on the other hand, felt lost and rudderless, lacking a sense of purpose. He had been living under Jungkook's shadow for years, relying on him for sustenance and financial stability, not just a few days, but years, never short on cash thanks to his friend's largesse. Though the latter never failed to provide and he knew that's what Jungkook desired, Jimin couldn't shake off the old man's words who had called him a mere servant who lives at jungkook's expense.

Upon arriving at the company, Jungkook dived headfirst into his work, leaving Jimin to seek refuge in the quiet and empty office. For a while, he sat in silence, watching as Jungkook's fingers danced across the keyboard, the only sounds being the rhythmic clicking of keys and the occasional beep of an email notification. Jimin sat, lost in thought, as he contemplated his place in the world.

They exchanged no words since morning, save for the occasional peck on the lips from Jungkook every few minutes that served as a reminder that he was not alone

As time passed, however, the worries slowly began to ebb away. The gentle hum of the air conditioning and the sound of Jungkook's typing lulled Jimin into a sense of tranquility. And as the worries faded into the background, Jimin was able to find solace in the simple pleasures of the present moment.

As lunchtime approached and the clock struck noon, Jungkook emerged from his work-induced trance, his eyes meeting Jimin's with a small smile. The gesture warmed Jimin's heart, and he felt a surge of joy fill his heart.

"Let's go grab some lunch," Jungkook suggested, his eyes twinkling with excitement.

Jimin's stomach growled in agreement, eagerly nodding. However, their lunch plans were interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. Jimin looked up to see Jungkook's secretary, Nayun, standing awkwardly at the office entrance, clutching a stack of files. Her eyes darted nervously around the room as she spoke in a trembling voice.

"Excuse me, Mr. Jeon, I have some files for you," she said, struggling to maintain her composure.

Jungkook accepted the files with a kind smile, thanking Nayun for her hard work. Jimin watched her scurry out of the room, feeling a twinge of amusement. He would never tire of watching her tremble in his presence.

Jungkook, who had been observing Jimin with a raised eyebrow and crossed arms, pointed at him and declared, "You're a devil." Jimin couldn't help but giggle.

After a brief moment of banter, they headed out to a nearby restaurant, enjoying the lively chatter and delicious food.

. As they waited for their food to arrive, Jimin noticed the stack of papers that Jungkook had brought with him.

"What are those papers?" Jimin asked, gesturing towards the stack.

Jungkook's expression grew serious, and he hesitated for a moment before replying. "They're emancipation papers," he said, his voice low.

Jimin's eyes widened in surprise. "Emancipation papers?" he repeated, confused.

Jungkook nodded slowly. "Yeah. I want my father to sign them."

Jimin couldn't believe what he was hearing. "You want to be emancipated from your family? are they the papers Mr. Jeon said he would sign if you accepted the deal," he asked, skeptical
