The room was dimly lit, with the two men seated in anticipation of Mrs. Jeon to return after her sudden outburst upon seeing Jimin. However, thirty minutes had passed, and she had yet to return.

"She's not coming back." Jimin expressed

 "She will."

The only employee in the mansion was the elderly man who had let them in earlier. Jimin learned that he had taken care of Jungkook after his rehabilitation when he first returned home from the hospital.

The old man informed them that Jungkook's father was out for work and wouldn't be back anytime soon, which relieved Jimin. But as time passed, he grew impatient waiting for Mrs. Jeon to return. Suddenly, an idea dawned on him, and he turned to Jungkook with a wide grin.

"Should I talk to her?" he asked, excitedly.

Jungkook raised his eyebrows in disbelief, "Chim, she ran away from you. How can you suggest that?"

"I know. That's why I should go get her and make her understand I'm not here to harm her," Jimin said.

"What did you even do to make her so afraid of you? I know you can be scary and do thoughtless things sometimes." Jungkook asked, crossing his arms.

"I didn't do anything. A little threatening in the past isn't that bad of an act. I didn't even raise my voice, just said some things," Jimin denied the accusation,

Jungkook looked at him skeptically and sighed, "I know you, Chim. I know you really well."

"It's not my fault you suddenly have trust issues towards me. I haven't done anything. Really!" Jimin replied with a pout.

Jungkook shook his head in exasperation and muttered, "Of course, you didn't."

As if on cue, they heard footsteps down the hallway. This time, they were slow and hesitant. Mrs. Jeon's face was tear-stained, her eyes bloodshot, and her hand was still shaky. When she made eye contact with Jimin, he smiled foolishly and waved his hand at her, brimming with excitement, causing her to flinch and look away momentarily.

"Stop creeping her out," Jungkook warned.

"I'm not," Jimin replied, still grinning like an idiot at Mrs. Jeon. He couldn't understand why he had hesitated to come here at first. He was genuinely enjoying himself now.

Mrs. Jeon approached them cautiously, her heart beating faster than usual. With a deep breath, she sat down on the sofa, keeping a safe distance from them. Her voice barely above a whisper, she apologized for her earlier behavior. "I didn't mean to act that way," she said. "It's just that...I was caught off guard. I didn't expect to see him here."

Jimin leaned forward with a beaming smile, "You have absolutely nothing to fear from me, dear. My intentions are nothing but peaceful."

Mrs. Jeon attempted to maintain a polite smile while suppressing her inner turmoil. "I suppose you wouldn't cause a scene in front of Jungkook," she muttered, avoiding Jimin's gaze when his grin turned malicious.

"Ah, Mrs. Jeon, you've matured a lot since our last encounter "Jimin chuckled "I'm proud of you,"

"At least one of us did," Mrs. Jeon retorted, knowing that antagonizing Jimin was not in her best interest. Nevertheless, she couldn't help but provoke him, hoping that he would reveal his true nature in front of her son, who glared at them from across the room.

Jimin reclined in his seat, his demeanor growing severe, "I've always been, Mrs. Jeon. You just enjoyed stirring the pot, even when you knew it would bring out the worst in me." His stern words made Mrs. Jeon shift uneasily, her forehead now beaded with sweat.
