Episode 3: Sneaky

We arrived at the boat. A walker was shot down and we carried it away. "Now we just need your walker friend to--"
"He's here!" AJ exclaimed, interrupting Ruby. We all turned to James, wearing his walker mask. "Uh... hello." He said nervously.
"This is James." I said.
"He's...uh..."
"So. Cool!" Willy finished Louis' sentence. "How do you get the skin like that?" Willy asked James, surprising him. "Oh, I, uhm..."
"Give him some space." Clem asked Willy. He backed away. "Right. Sorry."
"Its okay." James said.
"Functional and fashionable. I'll take two." Louis smiled.
"Hah. Funny." James smirked at Louis.
"Uhm, hi there, James." Violet waved at him. "Sorry about Willy."
"Um, Clementine, can i speak to you and Y/n for a moment?" James requested. We went with James. "The walkers will be here soon. You can join them as they pass through the trees." He told us. "Your friends are... different. Open minded. Accepting." He said. "Its not usually how first impressions go." James said.
"Well, our friends COULD be your friends too, James." I said. "You said you didn't want to come in the school because you didn't know them. Now that you do..." I gave him the idea of coming in the school with us. "I haven't lived with people in a long time. But, it does sound...nice." He said.
"Don't let us force you into anything. Think about it if you need to." Clem stated. He showed us a picture. "This is... was... my boyfriend, Charlie. We joined the Whisperers together." James told us. "But it...changed him. In a way that couldn't be undone. It changed both of us." He said.
"What do you mean?" Me and Clem asked in sync.
"The Whisperers were my family. For a young age. In that time, I witnessed a lot of death and suffering. Eventually, I became the cause of it. Weakness was considered a poison, and I believed in that. Fiercely." James began. "So much so, that when another boy expressed sympathy for our enemy before an attack... I slit his throat. James said, shocking me and Clem. "Thats unlike you." Clem said.
"I stopped killing after that. I changed. But no one else did. When AJ told me he killed someone. It reminded me of them. Of myself." James said. "I'm afraid if AJ kills again, he won't be able to go back." He told us.
"Well, lucky we exist. We won't let that happen." I said. The herd started closing in on the boat. We separated from James. "Willy, Tenn, take care if the supplies. Ruby, you're in charge with the horses." Clem told them.
"I got the bomb. We just gotta out it in the boiler right?" Louis asked.
"Yes." Willy said. Tenn stopped us. "Louis told me about Minerva." Tenn said. "That Sophie died. That Minnie is one of them now. If you see het out there, tell her... tell her i forgive her." Tenn asked.
"If we see her, we will." Clem said. Then we looked okay and saw Louis and Violet were looking at the boat. "Go talk to Louis. I'll speak with Violet." I said.

Clementine's POV...
I went to speak to Louis. "Its really happening, isn't it...?" He asked.
"Yeah, it really is." I said. He turned to me. "Other people's lives are depending on he. Depending on me." He said. "You're depending on me to... what if something happens to you, Clem? What if...what if i can't?" His words were said in a panicked voice.
"I wouldn't have asked you to come with me if i didn't believe in you." I told him. "Just... believe me until you believe yourself, okay?" I asked.
"Okay." He smiled. "Though i don't know if that's as easy as you think it is." He said. "I'll try, but what if I get us caught? All it would take is one little screw up. And i screw up ALL the time." He said. "All right Louis, get it together." He told himself. Then he faced me. "I need you to slap me. Help pull me outta this." He told me. He readied himself for me to slap him. I didn't though. Instead, i grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him into a kiss. I pulled away after five second. "I... can't tell if I feel more focused or less." He smiled and his face was pink. We heard AJ laughing. "What are you doing?" He asked.
"You'll learn when you're older." Louis said to him.
"Go...look in another direction." I looked away, feeling embarrassed.

Y/n's POV...
I went to Violet. "Its time, Violet." I simply told her.
"Y/n, what happens if someone else gets caught while we're in there?" She asked me. "I couldn't save Minnie. Or Aasim, Omar... I... care for you, Y/n. If something happened to you because of me...I can't lose you, too." She told me. I hugged her. She closed her eyes and hugged right back. "You better not disappear on me, okay?" She asked.
"Okay." I said in her ear. We heard AJ say it's ready. We saw a dead walker. "Covering your smell. Smart." Violet said.
"Ug, god." Louis groaned in disgust. We started covering ourselves in the walker guts. Louis didn't have guts on his face. Clem went ahead and covered it. "Get my back." Violet asked. I covered her back with walker guts. "You still look pretty." Louis said to Clem.
"Yeah, rubbing each other with walker guts is sooo romantic." Violet rolled her eyes. We got up. "We're doing this." Clem said.

We snuck into the herd, walking slowly to the pier. We used the walkers as cover if we were ever in the spotlight. Thankfully we were never shot. The supplies was on fire and the horses had ran off. A guy jumped over cover and made a run. "Nows our chance." Clem said. The five of us jumped into the water. We had to crawl along side the dock to avoid leaving cover. We crawled on the dock and through the water, making the walker guts come off. We eventually had to swim under water. I waited for everyone to go up on the dock. I was grabbed by a walker. I kicked its head in. Clem held her hand out to me. She helped me on the dock. "You okay?"
"I'm fine." I said. We moved cover to cover until we were out of the spotlight. "Walkers incoming!" Louis said. I used my knife to hold them back. The drawbridge came down. I followed the four inside the boat.
