Clementine's POV...
I barely regained consciousness in the car. I saw Y/n in the car, and AJ was outside the car. He must have tried to escape. Another thing I saw was the walkers falling. "Please...help..." I said. One of them picked up AJ. I lost consciousness again.I woke up in a room, on a bed with a bandage on my head. I saw my hand was taped to the bed bar. I tore the tape off and looked around. My main focuses were AJ and Y/n. The room looked like a college dorm. I went to the door and tried opening it, but it was locked. "Shit." I cussed. I went to the closet and saw a box. I tried getting it, but it was just out of reach. I grabbed a chair and used it to reach up and grab the box. I checked the box and found a palette knife. I took it and used it to pick the lock. I got the door open and entered the hall. It definitely looked like I was in a school. I heard someone coming. I went to hide. A boy around AJ's age, maybe a little older, came around the corner and saw I wasn't in the room I was in. "I'm right here." I said. He let out a scared gasp and put his hands up. "Put down the knife."
"Why don't you do the same?" I heard from down the hall. A bog with a crossbow aimed at me was in the shadows. "We're not gonna hurt you. We've got your boy. He's safe." He told me. "I'll take you to see him. Just put down the knife." I dropped the knife. "Your turn." I said. He retracted the arrow and put his crossbow away. "See? We're not gonna hurt you." He said again as he came in the light. It was a boy with a blonde mullet. "I'm Marlon." He introduced himself. "The little guy is Tennessee. Tenn for short. He's the one been taking care of you. He uh, doesn't talk much."
"Clementine." I introduced.
"Sorry for locking the door and tying you to the bed and all. You were in, uh, pretty rough shale when we found you. We had to take precautions."
"No need to explain." I told him.
"Must've been tough out there. For the both of you." Marlon said. "Sorry for scaring ya. But you're safe now. So's your friend. Lets go see your boy."We exited the school and into the courtyard. "So you've been surviving out there for a while, huh?" Marlon asked me.
"Yeah, we've been on the road for a long time." I told him.
"Take it you know how to handle yourself?" He asked.
"Sure. I do what I can to get by."
"No matter what?" He asked. I looked away, knowing I always try to no matter what, but it's not always enough. "Don't worry about it. We all do what we have to." He added. We stepped out further into the sunlight. Tenn alerted a blonde girl of me. "Good thing we found you when we did. Wasn't easy getting you outta that car, and walkers were coming."
"Was the car totaled?" I asked Marlon.
"Yeah."
"Fuck."
Some kid saw me and just stared at me. "We saw the smoke and thought it'd be best to help." Marlon told me.
"I appreciate it." I said. He kept talking as the boy kept staring. "Uhh...hi there?" I asked. He ran past me. "Whats his problem?"
"You're new. He hasn't seen anyone like you in...forever. None of us have." He said. "So as you can probably tell, this used to be a boarding school, but now it's whatever we want it to be."
"Who's in charge?" I asked.
"Well...I am. Probably sounds strange, kids run by a kid. But we do alright for ourselves."
"Only kids? That actually sounds kind of awesome." I said.
Timeskip. I'm sorry, i want Clementine to meet Louis!
On my way to the piano room, I found some plastic flowers. They're fake, but at least they'll last. I heard the music and followed it. "Gah! You little motherfucker!" A redhead said as she was walking down a hall. "Hey! HEY!" She yelled at me. "Bout time you woke up. Your boy just BIT me!" She said.
"I'm so sorry. He acts out sometimes. He's been through a lot."
"Yeah, well ain't we all! Don't see any of us sinking our teeth into either of you." She said. "Boy needs to learn some manners." She walked away. I turned the corner and saw AJ with a boy with dreads around my age playing a piano. AJ turned around and saw me. "Clem!" AJ exclaimed. He ran to me and i got on my knees to hug him. "I'm okay. You know what you are?" I asked him. "Ticklish." I started tickling AJ. "But, AJ, that girl said you bit her. Is that true?" I asked. He crossed his arms. "AJ, I'm sorry she scared you. But you can't be doing that. These people saved us." I told him. "No more bites."
"No more bites." AJ repeated.
"You're not dead. That's good." The boy at the piano said. "Watched your kid for you."
"My name is AJ."
"Excuse me. I watched AJ for you." He said again.
"Thanks. I appreciate it." I said to the boy. He nodded and went back to playing. "I'm Louis."
"Clementine." I introduced. I went to my bag. I grabbed my hat and grabbed the gun.
"Um." I handed it to AJ. "Double um. Does he know what that is?" Louis asked.
"Its dirty." AJ said.
"Clean it." I told him.
"Maybe later. Back you go." He put it in his back pocket. "Dude, that can't be a good idea." Louis said.
"He's earned my trust." I told Louis. He shook it off and started playing the same song again. "Can you play anything else?" I asked, getting a little irritated of the music he kept playing.
"Well, there is one, but you're armed." He said. She shook his head and started playing. "Oh my darlin', oh my darlin', oh my darlin', Clementine. You are lost and gone forever. Dreadful sorry, Clementine." He sung.
"Aw, i love that song." I said. As Louis continued singing, I noticed something that slipped my mind. There was one person i was expecting to be here. "Hey, Louis, i gotta know. Do you happen to know where Y/n is?" I asked.
"Oh...uhh..."
"Hey, y'all." Marlon said at the doorway.
"Marlon. Hey, something slipped my mind earlier. Where's Y/n?" I asked him.
"The other person in the car?" He asked. I nodded. "You were in bad shape. He was in worse. I'm sorry to tell you he...didn't make it." Marlon said. I shook my head as the bad news hit me like two trains crashing into me. "NO. GOD." I said.
"I'm assuming you two were close?" Louis asked.
"He was my brother." I said, starting to break down in tears. "Y/N, NO." I cried as I dropped to my knees. I couldn't believe that my brother, the one that's been with me since day 1 of the walkers, who's always been there for me when it mattered, was gone.
