After Y/N and the girls had escaped from the Red Castle thanks to the Curious Cat. Y/N and Ruby followed the Curious Cat since he was the one that could lead them to the Tree to escape.

Ruby: Here, kitty, kitty! (sees the Curious Cat's tail) Excuse me?

Curious Cat: You're excused.

The Curious Cat walked by as he was missing half of his body which confused the girls. But the Curious Cat put his body back together.

Y/N: Hello, Cat? Curious Cat? Which one do you go by?

Curious Cat: Oh, I don't go by. That belongs to the days and the years. But if you are asking me what I am. I do suppose I am indeed a cat. Most curious.

Y/N: Of course? Uh, look my friends and I really need to get to that giant tree and so far nothing we've tried has gotten us any further.

Weiss: It looks to me like we're even farther.

Yang: Yeah, I think that's because we're six inches tall.

Weiss: It could be both.

Curious Cat: The Tree... Tree, tree, tree, tree, of course. That is most definietly impossible. You do not go to the tree, tree goes to you. Unless of course you're me. You see?

Akari: Not even a little bit.

Curious Cat: Well, that's your problem. It's a matter of perspective I'm afraid.

Ruby: Couldn't you take us then? You've been there before.

Curious Cat: So, why would I ever want to go back? Yes, I'm glad we understand one another. No sense in seeing a sight scene. (sees a butterfly and pounces at it)

Blake: Please, you helped Alyx—

Curious Cat: Alyx? Alyx, Alyx? How do you know her? Are you friends of hers'? Lifelong nemesis? Wait, don't tell me. Okay, do tell me. (grabs Y/N's face)

Y/N: Uh, we don't know her personally—

Pyrrha: She wrote a book. About her entire adventure in the Ever-After.

Curious Cat: A book? Is it well liked?

Blake: It's kind of a childhood favorite of everyones... Where we're from.

Curious Cat: *chuckles* Yes! Oh, please I simply must know more. What did she write about? How was I portrayed? And... *sniffs* Do I smell a mouse?

Little was hiding behind Akari and Yang as she peeked a little bit but Blake quickly stepped in front to hide her from the Curious Cat.

Blake: Uh, from one cat to another could you give us a minute please?

Curious Cat: Oh, so they're spoken for. Well, please, please hurry. I have so many many questions. (jumps down & starts chasing the butterfly)

Weiss: Are we sure they're not called the Constantly Annoying Cat?

Neo (paper): Nice one. Totally roasted.

Weiss: Thank you.

Blake: Guys, the Curious Cat was described as an ally with an appetite for information. Just because they don't want to go back to the Tree. Doesn't mean we can't lure them there.

Ruby: Okay, yeah. We just need to keep their attention along the way. That shouldn't be too hard. We know all sorts of—

Akari: The cat's gone.

Y/N: What?! No!

As Y/N and Ruby were looking around they heard a pounce and they quickly ran towards that  direction to find the Curious Cat as it was still chasing the butterfly.
