Journey

Y/N wakes up to see the sun shining down on him through the trees but he feels something move in his sleeping bag.

Y/N: (moves the blanket) AKARI?! (quickly jumps out of his sleeping bag & looks at Akari as his face is red)

Akari: (sleepy) Why are you so loud...?

Y/N: Why were you sleeping with me?!
When did you even get in bed with me?!

Akari: *yawns* Well you looked comfortable and I wanted to join in too.

Y/N: W-We should get ready to leave...

Akari: (wipes her eyes) Okay.

Y/N and Akari clean up the camp and Akari disappears as Y/N transforms and starts running to continue his journey. Y/N continues to run through the forest to reach the next town.

Akari's (voice): Y/N, I'm hungry.

Y/N: Wait, you get hungry even though you're a spirit.

Akari's (voice): Of course I do.

Y/N: Okay...?

Akari's (voice): But can we please get food?

Y/N: When we reach the next town we'll get something to eat.

Akari's (voice): Okay!

Ruby, Jane, Nora, and Rin walk through the forest as Jane holds the map to navigate.

Nora: Another day, another adventure!

Ruby: What's on the agenda today?

Jane: Walking!

Nora: With a side of...?

Rin: Walking.

Ruby: *sighs* Haven is a lot father away than I thought.

Rin: Ruby... How long did you think this journey was going to take?

Ruby: I don't know! I grew up in a small area, I've never been this far away from home.

Jane: Right, but... how long?

Ruby: Maybe like, uh... Two weeks?

Jane: What?!

Ruby: Okay fine, three or something! Look, whatever... Hey, what's that? (Nora steps on top of a wooden fence pole as she looks at the town)

Jane: That's strange... I didn't think we'd be hitting another village for a few days.

Nora: Are those buildings... damaged?

Jane: We should search for survivors! (the team quickly runs into the town but as they search there was nothing in the town)

Rin: It almost seems like the town was abandoned.

Nora: Hey, I think I found something! (moves the leaves to see the sign) Oniyuri? Never heard of it.

Jane: Me neither.

Rin: I have. (they all look at Rin) You might think of it as Anima's Mountain Glenn, had it never been completed. Years ago, the richest members of Mistral were unhappy with how the kingdom was being run. Frustrated with the council, they pooled their resources together to build their own city... With their own laws. They hoped that one day, it could maybe even become its own kingdom. Many thought it would be the future. (walks away from the team) I know my parents did.

Ruby: What happened?

Rin: What always happens.
