Y/N and the gang head to the stage to go watch Jane fight Cardin. The match starts, Y/N starts thinking about the fight to see how Jane would do but it wasn't going so well.

Y/N's (thoughts): This isn't good, Jane is going to lose.

Jane looks at Cardin who then laughs at her due to her tiredness. She gathers her strength and charges right towards him, swinging down her blade only allowing Cardin to move out of the way. Jane looks back shocked and Cardin hits her shield out of her hands. Jane charges at Cardin only letting him stop her attack, their weapons lock, and Jane is stuck.

Cardin: This is the part you lose.

Jane: Over my dead—

Jane gets cut off short from Cardin as he knees her right into the gut. Jane drops her sword and falls to the ground only looking up at Cardin who is ready to finish her off.

Glynda: Cardin, that's enough! Students, as you can see, Ms. Arc's Aura now dropped into the red. In a tournament-styled duel, this would indicate that Jane is no longer fit for battle, and that the official may call the match. (she looks at Jane) Ms. Arc, its been weeks now. Please try to refer to your Scroll during combat. Gauging you Aura will help you decide when it's appropriate to attack of when it is better to move to a more... Defensive strategy. We wouldn't want you to be gobbled up by a Beowolf, now, would we?

Cardin: Speak for yourself...

Glynda: Remember, everyone, the Vytal Festival is only a few months away! It won't be long before students from other kingdoms start arriving in Vale, so keep practicing! Those who choose to compete in the combat tournament will be representing all of Vale!

The bell rings and everybody leaves for lunch. As they sit at a table Nora decides to tell a story that everyone could listen to.

Nora: So! There we were, in the middle of the night...

Rin: It was day.

Nora: We were surrounded by Ursai...

Rin: They were Beowolves.

Nora: Dozens of them!

Rin: Two of'em.

Nora: But they were no match... And in the end, Rin and I took them down and made a buttload of Lien selling Ursa skin rugs.

Rin: *sighs* She's been having this recurring dream for nearly a month now.

Pyrrha: (looks at Jane) Jane? Are you okay?

Jane: Huh? Oh, yeah! Why?

Ruby: It's just that you seem a little... not okay...

Jane: Guys, I'm fine. Seriously! Look! (she sticks a thumbs up & laughs awkwardly)

Y/N and the group looks at Cardin laughing at the girl with bunny ears and Lark is holding his hands close to his head mocking the girl. Y/N starts to get angry.

Pyrrha: Jane, Cardin's been picking on you since the first week of school.

Jane: Who? Cardin Winchester? Nah... He just likes to mess around! You know, practical jokes!

Ruby: He's a bully.

Jane: Oh, please! Name one time he's ever bullied me.

Jane has flashbacks of Cardin slapping her books out of her hands. Cardin also activating Jane's shield to get her stuck in the middle of the doorway. Also Cardin shoving Jane into a locker putting in a six-digit-code launching her somewhere far away from the school.

Jane: I didn't land that far from the school.

Pyrrha: Jane, you know if you ever need help, you can just ask.
