Jane's Courage

While Jane was still out doing her errands. Pyrrha, Nora, and Rin were in the dorm room together while waiting for Jane to return.

Nora: How come Jane gets home so late?

Rin: She's become rather scarce since she's fraternizing with Cardin.

Nora: That's weird... Doesn't she know we have a field trip tomorrow? We need our rest!

Pyrrha: (angrily) I'm sure our leader knows what exactly she's doing.

Nora: Mmmmm... I guess so. (Jane hangs her head down as she closes the door quietly)

Ruby: Hey, Jane! Long time, no see! Did you lock yourself out again?

Jane: Oh, uh, nope! (pulls out the Scroll) Got it!

Ruby: So... Where have you been lately?

Jane: I, uh... (tries to think of a lie but sighs) I messed up. I did something I shouldn't have, and now Cardin has me on a leash, and Pyrrha won't even talk to me, and... (breathes heavily with frustration) I'm starting to think coming to this school was a bad idea. (she leans her back onto the door & slides down sitting on the floor) I'm a failure.

Ruby: Nope!

Jane: (looks at her with confusion) Nope?

Ruby: Nope! You're a leader now, Jane. You're not allowed to be a failure.

Jane: But... What if I'm a failure at being a leader?

Ruby: Nope!

Jane: *laughs* You know, you're not the easiest person to talk to about this kind of stuff.

Ruby: Nope! Jane, maybe you were a failure when you were a kid... (Jane groans sinking to the floor)... and you might've even been a failure the first day we met! (Jane groans & sinks even lower) But, you can't be one now. You know why?

Jane: Uh, because...?

Ruby: Because it's not just you anymore. You've got a team, Jane. We both do! And if we fail, then we'll just be bringing them down with us. (gets up from the ground) We have put to our teamates first, and ourselves second. Your team deserves a great leader, Jane. And I think that can be you. (she walks to her door & walks inside while Jane still sits on the ground)

Yang: Oh, you're back! What took you so long?

Ruby: I was talking to Jane.

Yang: Oh, that's nice!

Ruby: (nods) Hey, where's Y/N?

Yang: I don't know.

Blake: He's in the shower. (Yang & Ruby freeze and look at each other)

Yang & Ruby: You thinking what I'm thinking? (they both smile & quietly open the door)

Yang and Ruby see Y/N standing with the towel around his waist. Blake gets curious and peeks with them as well. Weiss enters the room and is confused to see the three girls peeking through the door.

Weiss: (walks over) What are you guys looking at? (peeks through the door as well & sees Y/N with the towel around his waist)

Weiss squeals very loudly as they notice, Y/N heard the noise and he turned towards the door. Y/N quickly puts on his underpants and shorts, he opens the door and sees all the girls sitting on their beds. They all look at him as if nothing happened.

Yang: What's wrong, Y/N?

Y/N: Uh, I thought I heard a squeal?

Yang: Probably just the wind!
