Chapter 10

The ring exchange ceremony was soon over. The elders of the family congratulated each other and blessed the couple. After that the elders of both the family went to entertain their guests. The couple was now on the stage alone, Koyal was about to say something when Payal her best friend came over.

Koyal's POV

I was about to talk to him when my Payal came over. She introduced herself to him saying "Jiju I am your fiancé's best friend and your saali. I also used to study with her in the same class, same college. Beware of me Jiju, your shoes are gonna get stolen on your wedding." Vardhaan was going to reply her but before him came a man and interrupted us.

"Oh really we will see. Till I am present no one take his shoes, miss." Payal rolled her eyes to that. That man spoke again, "Abe, bhabhi se mera introduction toh karwa. Chahe chod, mein mera introduction khud hi dedeta hu, Bhabhi mein iss insan ka dost aur business patner hu Kabir. Namaste Bhabhi."

[Abe, won't you introduce me to sister in law? Anyways leave it I will give my introduction myself. Sister in law I the friend and business partner of this person. Hello Sister in law.]

"Namaste Kabir ji" I replied to him. He seemed a friendly type of person. Then I met Sammer and Amrita, they were Vardhaan's uncle and aunts children. These three guys were really sweet. I enjoyed their company. Payal also blended with them.

Aftersome time Vivek bhaiya came with two people. I was angry with them. "Sorry sweetheart but we are not at fault the flight got delayed." "Yea, and it was you who decided to have such rushed engagement." Aditya and Dhruv bhaiya uttered. I so was about to yell at them but stopped looking around me. So I replied with an "It's okay", but I still super mad at them. Like they missed my engagement. So Vivek and Dhruv bhaiya are my Chacha chachi's children, and Adi bhaiya is my own brother.

After hearing my reply, they talked briefly with Vardhaan and his siblings. Then my brothers took me with them and Vardhaan's brothers did the same.

Vardhaan's POV

After that ring exchange ceremony was over. Her friend came and talked to me. Then Kabir came and started talking, following his trail, my siblings also came over. We were talking, more like them talking to her and me listening.

During that time her cousin came over, with two guys, and one of them said I'M SORRY SWEETHEART, like what the...who are these people, before I or someone else from my side could ask, they introduced themselves, and I came to know they were her brothers.

After sometime, our siblings took us with them, Kabir was talking to me, but my eyes were on her. She was laughing with Payal and Amrita on something. It was one of the beautiful sights I had ever seen in my life. "She looks very happy from this marriage" Kabir told me. "Yes"

"So bro.... what are you gonna do now." He asked me again. "I don't know dude, but I will always try that I never become a reason to wipe that smile off her face." I replied. "That's like friend. I know what happened, how all these things happened everything, but Vardhaan always rembere she was NEVER AT FAULT" He mentioned, stressing at the last three words. "I know, I am never gonna do something wrong with her Kabir, I will fulfill my responsibilities as her husband." I answered him. He smiled at that and I smiled looking at her.

The engagement got over peacefully, except one thing, our Vardhaan and Koyal did not get a chance to talk with each other alone. Marriage rituals are going to start from tomorrow. Koyal finally got a chance to check her mails after 4 days. This engagement thing made her really busy. As she opened her e-mail, her face lost her the charm and glow it had before. It became void of any happiness, her face become lifeless.
