Koyal's POV
"KAABIIR I SAID I DON'T EFFING WANT TO GO THERE, DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND!!!" Vardhaan yelled on the phone, he has to go somewhere, and I guess he doesn't want to. He has been throwing a tantrum about it on the phone to Kabir and his assistance.
"Don't try to act funny I am not attending this event. I don't want too" He yelled again. Enough my ear buds can't handle any more of his shouting. I went inside his study. He noticed me and gave me a small smile. I think Kabir again said something and he was about to scream at him again I guess cause he signaled me to go out, but I will not go. I went to him and took his phone, from him and he looked at me happy. "Yes Koyal, hang up his call, then we will go anywhere you like." He said. Aww, my poor husband, he doesn't know what I am about to do.
"Kabir Hello" I greeted him. "Hey Bhabhi" He greeted me back. "So Kabir, about where ever you want my husband to come, I assure you he will come, alright?" I said to him. "OMG Bhabhi you are a savior. Thank you so much I was tired of handling your husband's tantrum. And not only him, but you are also required to be present." He informed me. But I thought only he had to go. I still have a web series to finish. I can't go. I was about to deny him, when Kabir spoke again, this time a little fast, "Ok see you soon Bhabhi BYE" and he ended the call.
I looked at Vardhaan and he looked at me betrayed and said, "Why would you do that? I thought you came to save me, par tumne toh phasadiya. " [But you pushed me in such a mess.]
"I.. I also was required to come?" I asked him regretting my actions, and he nodded. "I mean, the invitation does say Mr& Mrs. Chopra so, and we have went to Bhanu uncle's house for an official dinner so if I go you kind of need to come. And the other people invited, are the people I am not very fond of meeting so that's why I was avoiding it." He explained me.
"See, he was trying to save you from a boring party and you were thinking he was throwing a tantrum on Kabir, so bad." My conscience lectured me. "Sorry Vardhaan I did not know that, I thought you were you know messing with Kabir, so I said that, don't go if you don't want to." I said to him, trying to rectify my blunder.
"Oh, there's no need for apologies. It's actually the first time you've made a promise like this for me. I'll gladly honor it now; after all, I wouldn't want my wife's word to go unfulfilled." He smiled and assured me.
He is so understanding! "About me..?" I asked him. "Well if you don't want you can skip. I will handle the rest." He said. It's been years since I attend one business party. The last I attend was as kid with my parents. After that terrible accident no one ever asked me to join them to a party.
My chachu at times would want to take me but my grand ma always objected it.Not only me, but Vinita di, was also not allowed. Sometimes Chachi would attend it with chachu, but that was very rare. However my dad always took my mum with him, and if me and bhaiya would not have exams we would also join them.
Anyways today I will attend it, for my husband. I know how people gossip about people when they are not seen with their better halves. I have heard from bhaiya how many people mock Vardhaan behind his back, that after marrying him I ran away. Today I guess all those mouths will be shut. Thinking all these nonsensical stuff I got ready.
I wore a pink paper silk saree, with the blouse of the same color in a darker shade. My saree had beautiful hand stitched flowers on all the edges of the saree. It was fancy yet elegant. I wore my saree with the open free style pallu, and on my other hand I wore some matching bangles, and then I wore a beautiful and matching platinum jewelry set, that I had received in my wedding. Finally after three years, all of my stuff is coming to use. I think I look good. Let's check on Vardhaan.
