Author's POV
Vardhaan's morning was a bittersweet one today. On one hand he was ecstasy to find out that he was in love. To add more the one he was in love with also wanted to be with him. Koyal had never confessed she liked Vardhaan or loved him, but her confession this morning gave him a hope. A hope that one day she might as well fall for him, and if not then they shall defiantly live a happy life together. This was enough for Vardhaan to have faith in his emotion.
However, he was sad that Koyal would go back to the states. Oh, how badly did he want to stop her, but he could not. Vardhaan knew and had felt the feeling of having his dreams shatter. He never wanted Koyal to face this in her life. That was the reason three years back he fought with his and her whole family so that she could live her dreams. He didn't want to be a hindrance in her path of success.
Regardless of all these facts, Vardhaan couldn't accept that his Koyal would leave in 9 days now. The thought of separation with Koyal, was awaking feelings of loneliness and sadness in him.
Vardhaan originally had planned to spend the entire day with Koyal, but then he suddenly remembered how much Aditya missed his sister. There were days when he had literally seen him cry for her in his solitary.
Vardhaan wanted to spend all the remaining time with her, yet he suggested Koyal that she should spend the entire day with her brother. He was an elder brother himself. He cared for Abhinav Sammer and Amirita just like Aditya cared for Koyal. He could understand his feelings. He also knew how much Koyal loved spending her time with her beloved brother, but was trying not to so she could spend time with him.
"No Vardhaan, yesterday when I told him that I am going back in a few days he did not console me. Forget console, he taunted me saying; maine toh bola tha MBA karle par tune kya kiya, MBBS. Aab bughto! Huh, I will not meet him." Koyal said to Vardhaan, who had just proposed the idea of Koyal visiting her brother. [I had told you to do MBA, but what did you do, MBBS. Now suffer.]
"Koyal, maybe he said that because even he is sad that you are going, and he did not want to tell you that." Vardhaan tried explaining Koyal.
"Do you not want to spend time with me Vardhaan?" Koyal asked, his persistant try to send her to Aditya's house was kicking in insecurities in her.
"How much do you over think Koyal? Its not that I don't want to spend time with you. Trust me, if I could I would never spend a second away right now, but the point is he is your brother, who misses you very much. I have two brothers, all grown up yet I still want to spend time with them. I love spending my time with my sister. If I can want these, why wouldn't Aditya want Koyal?" Vardhaan reasoned with Koyal.
Koyal also wanted to spend time with Aditya. Nevertheless she was still angry with him for not giving her the proper attention she wanted when she called him. Aditya later had called her but Koyal ignored it. Another reason she did not want to go was, she wanted to compensate Vardhaan for the gone years with all her available time now.
"I know, but I am still angry with him. I won't go." She again said, like a stubborn kid. Honestly now she was enjoying how Vardhaan was trying to make her understand things. It had been years since she acted so stubborn carefree and ridiculous with anyone other than her Adi Bhaiya. Koyal finally found the person who would happily carry all her tantrums. She had already made her mind to go to her brother's house, but she was now checking his patience level.
"Umm, Koyal I know you are angry with him. But you only said that you will be very busy after you go. So you will rarely talk to him. So will you not miss your brother?" Vardhaan again tried explaining her, unaware of her intentions.
"No, but Vardhaan, why do you want to share my time with you with anyone?" Koyal asked the question that she wanted to ask since minutes.
"Because Koyal, I know as a matter of fact you will miss your brother. That day you told me that you feel guilty that you had spent time with everyone in my family in the past three years except me right?" Vardhaan asked and Koyal nodded. "So Koyal I don't want you to again feel guilty after going there that you didn't spend time with the most special person of your life, with your support system, got it?" Vardhaan expressed his reasons to her.
