I was taken to Vardhaan's room to have some rest before the other post marriage rituals start. It was a beautiful room, very different than what I expected. It had surpassed all my assumptions about the room. It was different from what I had imagined it to be from all the Wattpad novels I had read, where the rooms of business tycoon like him are usually depicted as perfect with white and black colors. My brothers also have their rooms in the same black, white and grey color pattern. However Vardhaan's room was decorated in a calming beige color, which gave the room a warm and soothing vibe. The decor and furniture were arranged in a way that added to the room's aesthetic appeal and provided a sense of relaxation in me.

While I was admiring the room, and searching for water I heard someone clear the throat. Turning around I saw him, entering the room. He was looking very handsome, and tired at the same time. He had a warm and welcoming smile on his face. I am nervous now, what should I do? Should I say hi, or how are you? No, no, should I ask his name, but I already know it. God what do I ask?
We had an eye lock, the moment I saw his eyes, I forgot all my sadness and worry. He kept looking into my eyes and walk towards me. With his every step towards me heart beat accelerated by 5 bits per second. He was about to say something to say something when I accidentally blurted "I am thirsty!". I bit my tounge as soon as I said this. He looked at me with surprise, and amusement I guess. I again said "I mean I am thirsty, and looking for some water." He gave me breath taking smile and told me that he would be right back. Saying this he vanished.
Vardhaan's POV
After enduring a barrage of teasing from my siblings, cousins, and friends, I retreated to my room, utterly exhausted. I couldn't help but wonder if they ever got tired of their relentless teasing. All I wanted was to get some much-needed rest and catch a few hours of sleep.
As I entered my room I saw her looking around, so I cleared my throat to give her an idea of my presence. I did not want to just barge in the room. Hearing the sound she turned towards me. She stared at my eyes and I did the same, while having this eye lock, I moved a little more inside the room.
I opened my mouth to tell her that her stuff is here, she could change if she wanted, however she spoke first. She said, no squealed if that's the right word, that she was thirsty. I looked at her in surprise. She spoke to me for the first time and that were her words. I guess she is really thirsty. I said her I would be back right away.
I made my way to the kitchen, and a wave of happiness and satisfaction came in my heart. I was happy, she asked me for something, instead of suffering she told me. I hope she tells me other things as well this much ease only.
I took a bottle of water and some apples and grapes, in case she was hungry. While I was on my way back to the room I met Shalini bua. "What are you doing here beta?" She inquired. "She was thirsty" I replied. "Its good you are taking fruits as well. Poor child must be hungry and tired. You go, I will bring her some breakfast." She said.
"Um, Thanks bua. Everyone is resting now, then where are you going?" I asked. She smiled and told me " I was going to bring you guys food only, I was about to rest when I remembered she must be hungry it was long night for both of you after all. I know if you will hungry, you will go to the kitchen. But it will be difficult for her." I smiled at her, she always is the most considered. I wonder, how both my bua's have such different personalities. My elder bua, Nalini is exact opposite of her.
I gave her the water, she took it immediately and drank the water, almost half bottle. She mumbled a thank you softly. "Hey, uuh, you can change, your stuff is near the window. You look uncomfortable." I said her. "Yeah, this is heavy." She replied. She went near her stuff, there was the mirror near her. She looked at her face in the mirror, then at her dress confused. I noticed she was confused weather she should change first or remove her accessories.
So I said again, "You can first get rid of the accessories then change, it will be better. I would call mom or Amu, but both of them have gone to sleep. I...I can help you remove them if you don't mind." She was about to say something, when Shalini bua came, with breakfast. "Hey children, Can I come in?" I nodded my head.
"Vardhaan maa told me that you need to sleep in any of your brother's room for 5 days. It's a ritual." She informed me. I nodded and opened the cupboard and left. While going I saw Koyal standing there awkwardly, I however am not worried, Shalini bua's there. She will definitely be okay.
