The five days flew by in a blur, and in no time soon, most of the marriage rituals had been completed. Vardhaan and Koyal had shared a few moments together, sneaking looks at every possible time. For everyone Koyal appeared to be blending in well with her new family, however her husband couldn't shake off the feeling that her happiness was just a façade. He sensed that something was amiss within her. And somewhere he was right.
In the past month a lot of things changed for both of them. From one moment to the next their identities had change, there was an addition of an unkown person and relationship in their lives. There was a brand new relationship for both of them to work upon. Coming out of the left field, Vardhaan who did not want to marry, now was happy, trying his best to make his wife comfortable.
Here Koyal, who developed a crush for her fiancé at his first sight was sad for her broken dreams, trying the best to appear to be happy, trying to accept this new identity of hers. But to her utmost dismay, everytime she genuinely tried to be happy, that email came to her mind. Koyal knew it was all upon her, she did not say anything to anyone, and she was the one to compromise her happiness and dreams, for her grandparent's sake. It was all on her, she knew she had to face the results of her actions, she should not crib about anything yet she was helpless. So she put up a smiling, happy and shy bride façade to keep everyone in a delusion that she was happy.
It was night, today finally Koyal and Vardhaanwould spend some time with each other. Koyal was excited and nervous, likeeverytime, Vardhaan's thoughts had cleared away the sadness from her mind forsome time. Vardhaan was also looking forward to talk to Koyal, it had beenalmost 6 days of their wedding and still they could not talk to each otherbecause of the continuous functions and old school rituals. These were nowirritating Vardhaan to no end.
Koyal had changed into a simple saree, and was scrolling through social media. She was very thankful to her, sister in law and brother in laws for not decorating the room on her insistence or the awkwardness in the room would have increased way more. With every passing minute her heart was racing. "He wouldn't take things in a very next level today itself, will he? He seems a gentle man and he won't do any such thing." were the kind of thoughts she was having. A few minutes passed by, and here Vardhaan entered his room, his face was very annoyed but it changed the moment he saw her. It changed into a pleasing one.
Koyal had stood up hearing the voice, she looked at him and he gave her the same look. The room was filled with awkwardness. This is the exact point where he cursed himself and his family. They got them married in such a jiff but now how will they handle all of it? How are they supposed get used to each other and live like a lovey dovey couple they expect them to be when all they knew about each other were just their names age and profession. Vardhaan had all these things playing in his head all day along.
To clear the awkwardness, Vardhaan spoke first, "Hey why did you stand up, you can remain seated." " yeah...I will. You can also take a seat maybe..or do what you want." Koyal replied. Vardhaan gave her a smile and said again, "Sure, wait let me go get changed first." Saying this, he vanished. Koyal now was nervous and scared as hell. All kinds of thoughts had occupied her mind. Vardhaan came back and sat on the bed in front of her Koyal was sitting on the chair at the side of the bed. They were now sitting facing each other.
Koyal not being able to resist her thoughtsasked Vardhaan, "So umm....what are your plans about tonight....no what I mean isthis marriage. What are your expectations?" Vardhaan still had a small smile onhis face, maintain that he replied back, "Nothing much, tonight I plaan ontalking to you, if you want and about future I have none for now. And I barelyknow you so I don't have any expectation as well right now."
Hearing this Koyal took a breathe of relief. "See he is a gentleman, told you" said Koyal's conscience to her. They were exchange a few words about themselves when Vardhaan's phone started ring. He saw the caller id and said, "sorry I have to pick this one." "Sure go ahead" was Koyal's answer.
As Vardhaan finished the call he looked at his phone for some minutes, then he looked around and found only, Koyal's laptop there, that's when he remembered he didn't bring his here. He wanted to go and take it from Abhinav's room but dismissed the idea as he knew he must be talking to his girlfriend. He did not want to disturb him as he knew his brother couldn't talk to his love properly for five days because of his presence there. But this was also important, this was related to his dream project. His face was filled with worry, and confusion, which didn't go unnoticed by Koyal.
"What happened you seem tensed?" Koyal asked. "Actually there is this really important file which I need to look urgently and I left my laptop in Abhi's room. He must be asleep by now and it's not opening on my phone." He replied her calmly, not showing his irritation to her.
"You can take mine, if it's that important." She said again. "Are you sure?" Vardhaan asked to which Koyal nodded her head in positive. Koyal opened her laptop and, Vardhaan asked her email id, so he could forward it to her mail and see. She gave him, her id then her laptop.
Within 10 minutes his work was done. He was about to delete his mail when something caught his eyes. He did not want to invade her privacy but after looking at the date the mail was sent Vardhaan could not resist. He looked at Koyal and found her busy in her phone, he muttered a sorry and opened that mail. And he could not belive his eyes. He quickly opened his phone and checked something when his doubt was cleared he had anger all over his face. Can you explain this Mrs. Koyal Chopra" He roared with his coldest tone he ever used in fornt of Koyal.
