Author's POV
Koyal was finally back to New York and had resumed her residency program, whereas, Vardhaan had also settled himself in the apartment he had near to his office. Shifting there helped him feel less lonely as here his best friend Kabir was his neighbor next door. Slowly both were again starting to adjust themselves in their old mundane routine.
However this time there was this little something that made their normal lives a little interesting, i.e texting each other. Yes! Vardhaan and Koyal this time were not like out of sight out of mind couple and how could they be. Koyal and Vardhaan had slowly yet steadily fallen for each other.
Koyal and Vardhaan both loved talking to each other, and could talk for hours now, but the time difference between them was something major to consider while calling each other, and their own busy secludes didn't help either. So texting each other was it for now.
Beside this, there was one more reason for this everyday texting. Texting didn't limit them to normal small talks. They could talk about anything they felt like. Koyal was still a little shy in having face to face conversation, texting was her comfort zone. Here she could express herself without any hesitation, and Vardhaan well even he was comfortable texting, rather than calling her, texting gave him the freedom to reply when he pleased or could.
Not that they never talked on video call or voice call but texting was a more pleasant and enjoyable way for their communication. Communication was always a barrier in their relationship and seems like they finaaly found a way of communication. Well, all is good until they were communicating and understanding each other.
Things were going smooth and two months passed quickly. New year came and went and they celebrated it together in their own way. Valentine also went by, and Koyal received her usual bouquet of red roses and a piece of jewelry as she got every valentine in the past three years. However the special thing about this valentines was that Vardhaan for the first time in his life got flowers on Valentine.
Koyal had also delivered a bouquet of red roses to Vardhaan's office with a Breitling watch for him. This was one of the first gift Koyal ever gave to Vardhaan. Vardhaan when received was over the moon. A beautiful smile found its place on Vardhaan's face for a whole week. He wore that watch every day. He adorned it as it was the first give Koyal gave him. All his employees were also very happy as due to his good mood he was not giving them quick deadlines and Alok was praying to god to keep Koyal and Vardhaan this happy always so he can also stay at peace.
It would be safe to say that things were going in the right direction. Life was going too smooth to be real but it was the reality. Vardhaan and Koyal fell in love with quickly over the short period of time they spent together. This feeling of love was new to them and they were enjoying but life isn't all roses now is it?
Koyal was trying to complete almost two courses together at once, that too in the field of medicine which is not easy. She had deadlines too meet with her researches, patients to treat properly with care and juniors to train and seniors to whom she was answerable, so her life right now was needless to say hectic.
In this hectic and stressful mode of life Vardhaan was her stress buster, talking to him made her feel relaxed within seconds. She was relying on Vardhaan for all her emotional needs, and Vardhaan was undoubtedly trying his best to be there for her, his love.
Vardhaan's life here was also not a bed of roses. He had to manage the whole almighty empire set by his ancestors, the business which was now there in his family for four generation. He had all the pressure to flourish the business to new heights. He also had started a company with his friends Dev and Kabir in his college days which was also booming now.
