Shiro

The principal declared a two-day rest for the students before the continuation of schooling. And little by little, the case of the murder happened on the first day—not really a case, it vanished through the thin air and everyone continued their day.

Art, or should I say, the fox god, pursued Shanti, but Shanti did not accept his admiration as a man but only as a fan. 

The word she said that day captured our hearts. 

"Just like the story of the painter and writer. They embrace their flaws with the help of each other. " She shook her head and smiled. "I don’t want that kind of cliché. I’d rather suffer and love myself than depend on others and destroy them in order to love myself. A broken glass cannot be fixed by a fragile hand."

We heard him chuckle and smile wryly. "Is that a rejection?" 

"Yeah, but if you can still wait for me–"

"I can!" he answered quickly. "I do...Oh,Ahm, I mean, yeah. Of course!"

“I’m not saying that you should wait for me. is that... if the time comes that I am totally healed and you still love me, I can finally embrace you without a doubt. But it is still okay if you no longer feel the same. " Sebastian cut her off. 

"That’ll never happen," he said. "He can only love once." He said proudly while looking at his friend. 

Art smirked and patted Sebastian’s shoulder. "That is right." 

I flinched when Shanti looked my way. She smiled and mouthed "thank you."

After that, Sebastian and Art went to the principal's office together with Prof. Wyatt. That is the scene I saw when Uno and I returned to the library. He said that I had been unconscious for 10 minutes when Nero saw me in the abandoned room and he immediately called Uno. 

Although Nero did not ask why I was there, I saw through his eyes that he wanted to ask something. I’m afraid I cannot answer his question. 

The façade I was using vanished when Leora left the dorm and I was left alone. I started to cry like there was no tomorrow, pulling my hair and letting my tears fall. 

What Merideath whispered to my ears scared me. 

Do I really…  I smile wryly. 

Dapat ay maliligo ako. But I chose to stay on my bed and stare at the ceiling. 

"Calcifer..." I whispered and the marble with the fire inside glowed. "You’re Cifer… Please protect me from my element. " I said as I fell asleep. 

When I walk up, it’s already evening, and Leora is now sleeping. I saw a note beside my bed that I presume is from Leora.

I brought food from Uno. I already ate, so enjoy!

Mariin akong napapikit. 

I was about to leave my bed, but I caught something beside my bed glowing. My eyes widened when I saw and remembered the big book. I remembered I already knew how it worked! 

Sinilip ko muna sa ibaba si Leora bago kinuha ang libro at binuklat ito. Naghanap muna ako ng matulis na bagay panghiwa ng aking daliri, pero wala akong nakitang matulis na bagay dito. 

In the end, I decided to leave my bed and go to the kitchen to look for a small kitchen knife while carrying the book on my left arm. Kumain na rin ako ng maramdaman ang pagkalam ng aking sikmura. 

Nakakita rin ako ng note sa lamesa. Napailing ako at napangiti. Hindi niya talaga nakakalimutan Mag-iwan ng sulat. 

Make sure to wash up before going to bed. Eat well!
