Chapter 32
A few days after the Royal Banquet, Loki was teaching Serena how to defend herself by using daggers. Loki tells Serena, 'You are such a fast learner, love. You have exceeded in your lessons. I'm proud of you baby." Serena said, "Thank you, Loki. Sif is teaching me how to use a sword today." Loki asked, "Is Sif training you for the Elite Guard or just teaching you for self-defense?" Serena answered, "For self-defense because I'm no longer in the Elite Guard, remember Loki?" Loki replied, "I know that's what my father said BUT I was going to make sure he didn't change his mind....again." Serena said, "I'm late for my princess lessons from your mother Queen Frigga. I have to go now." Loki replied, "Ok darling. Tell my mother I was the one who made you late. She will understand." Loki and Serena kissed good-bye, then Serena left to go to the royal chambers of Queen Frigga.
When Serena reached Queen Frigga's door she knocked. She heard Queen Frigga say, "Come in." Serena entered Frigga's chambers and said, "I'm sorry your majesty. I forgot about the time.' Frigga smiled and replied, "So your training with Loki went over time." Serena answered, "Um, yes your majesty." Frigga replied, "It's ok, my dear. I know Loki likes spending time with you every chance he can get. Plus, you are also training with Sif, which is all good because a princess or queen needs to know how to defend herself in case her prince or king is not around. Frigga taught Serena all of the proper protocols of the royal family, how to act around other royals, the importance of standing by her prince or king (unless you think they are wrong in their decision and how to go about convincing her prince or king that he made a wrong choice-like she does with Odin), this made Serena smile. Frigga also taught Serena about how to talk to the royal staff and other people who may not be royals, how she can influence her prince or king in their decision-making process, how imported it is to remain calm even when her prince or king is not, and import it is to try and carry on an heir to the throne. There were a lot of lessons that Frigga had to teach Serena BEFORE she became a princess of Asgard.
