Frigga's Advice

Chapter 11

Loki said, "But two of those Elite Guards are the loves of our life OR do not care about Sif anymore?" Thor said, "How dare you ask me such a question! Of course, I still care for Sif BUT she has a job to do just like Serena does. That's the price you pay when you fall in love with a member of the Elite Guards." Thor continues, "I still worry about Sif when she goes out on a battle BUT I know that is her job and if you truly love Serena then you will have to accept that too." Loki had other ideas about Serena's future because he planned on marrying her and making her his princess. So, she'll be safe from harm. Loki turned around to leave and Thor asked him, "Where are you going, brother?" Loki stopped and looked over his shoulder at Thor then said. "To see mother." With that being said, Loki continued to walk out of the throne room. Thor called after Loki to come back but he kept walking.

When Loki got to his mother's room, he knocked on her door and Sonia, Frigg's chambermaid came to the door. Loki told her, "I need to speak to my mother." Queen Frigga said, "Come in my son!" Frigga continues, "What's wrong, my son?" Loki said, "I told Serena that I love her. I even kissed her, but it wasn't enough to stop her from going to father's throne room when he called", Frigga said, "My dear Loki don't you see, she had to go, or Odin would have punished her for her disobedience." Loki said, "I would have told father it was me that kept her." Frigga said, "My son, that wouldn't have made a difference because Odin would just hold that against her as well. Since you haven't let your feelings be known to him." Loki asked his mother, "You mean if I tell father how I feel about Serena, he wouldn't make her go on those battles with the Elite Guards?" Frigga said, "I didn't say that my son. He would probably send her into battle, but he would be a little more cautious with her." Loki asked Frigga, "What if I marry her, mother? Would HE STILL send a princess into the battlefield?"

Frigga's eyes got big and asked, "Loki, you don't mean to take Serena as your wife?" Loki asked, "Why not, mother? I love her." Frigga said, "Because my son, you have just met her and haven't been courting. If you had been courting Serena all this time, then I could see you marrying her, like Thor is doing with Sif. Thor is planning on asking Sif to marry him and your father's OK with it because he knows how they feel about each other." Loki thought for a moment then asked his mother, "So all I have to do is let father know how I feel about Serena then start courting her?" Frigga said, "That's basically it BUT you have to get your father's permission to court Serena and that won't be easy." Loki asked his mother, "Mother, will you help me?" Frigga touched her son's cheek and said, "Of course, I will but you have to tell your father as well and so will Serena that you are in love with each other." Loki looked down at the floor. Frigga asked her son, "What's wrong my son? Doesn't Serena feel the same way for you?" Loki said, "Yes, she does BUT she doesn't think she's good enough for me. In fact, she's been putting herself down, which I told her not to because she's perfect for me." Frigga said, "I see my son. It could be that she's afraid of what Odin will say. I tell you what my son, when she comes back from her mission, I will talk to her for you. Would you like for me to do that?" Loki said, "Oh yes, mother I would. You would do that for me, mother?" Frigga said, "You know I will, my son." Loki hugged his mother and said, "good-bye" then went to wait for Serena's return.
