Chapter 21

Katsuki stood there for a few moments, frozen in shock and disbelief at what had just happened. He didn't know what to do or say, his heart still pounded in his chest as he realized he might have just ruined everything.

"Dammit!" he yelled, the sound of his voice reverberating through the room. In a fit of frustration, he kicked the nearby table, the impact causing it to wobble and rattle. He wanted to release his explosive power, to unleash the fury that consumed him, but he held himself back, his trembling hands balled into fists.

"Fucking hell, what have I done?" he muttered, running a hand through his spiky hair as he tried to collect his thoughts. His mind was a mess, and he felt like he had just blown everything to pieces. He knew he had fucked up, and he didn't know how to fix it.

After a few minutes of standing there, he took a deep breath and made his way to Izuku's room. He hesitated for a moment before knocking softly on the door, hoping Izuku would let him in.

There was no answer, so he knocked again, a little louder this time.

"God dammit, Deku. Let me in," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Still, there was no response.

Katsuki sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair in frustration. He knew he had to give Izuku some space, but the thought of leaving things like this made him feel sick to his stomach.

He made his way back to his own room, slamming his door and feeling empty as he collapsed onto his bed. "What the fuck is wrong with me?" he growled, punching the mattress in frustration. He felt like he had lost control, and he hated that feeling more than anything.

Lying there, he couldn't shake the image of Izuku's hurt expression from his mind.

I'm such a goddamn idiot.

He lay in his bed, seething as he stared at the ceiling. He was pissed at himself. Why the fuck would he say that to him?

The guilt and regret were eating away at him, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he had irreparably damaged everything he was trying to build with Izuku. He closed his eyes and tried to push away the image of Izuku's hurt and angry face from his mind, but it kept coming back to haunt him. Before long, sleep found him.

The rustling noise outside the balcony was unmistakable, and Katsuki immediately jolted awake in defense mode, a faint sounds of crumpling leaves underfoot. He sat up in bed, his heart pounding in his chest as he listened intently. His mind racing, he tried to figure out who or what could be outside. If it was the League, they were most definitely after Izuku.

He cautiously got out of bed, trying to make as little noise as possible as he sidestepped to the bathroom door, his hands shaking slightly as he reached for the handle. He prayed Izuku didn't lock the door to his room. To his relief, the handle twisted open, and he pushed into the room. He found the room intact but empty, with no Deku insight, and panic immediately gripped him.

Where the hell was he? Had he been taken?

Katsuki quickly scanned the room, noticing that Izuku's balcony door was slightly ajar. He was quickly making his way to the door when he stopped. There, on the edge of the rail, stood Izuku.

His green hair danced with grace in the moonlit night, his arm hanging limply at his side.
