Chapter 45

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*44 Days After Capture*:・゚✧*:✧

Izuku's POV:

As the weeks wore on, Izuku found himself trapped in a relentless, agonizing cycle crafted by Odd Eye. With each passing day, the torment intensified, tugging him closer to the brink of his sanity. The ceaseless barrage of psychological manipulation paired with physical deprivation eroded both his mind and body, and he was nearing his breaking point.

In the depths of his confinement, the concept of time morphed into a muddled haze to Izuku, blurring the boundaries between reality and the warped illusions forced upon him. Odd Eye reveled in making Izuku witness horrifying things like Katsuki's gruesome death, his mother's tragedy, and the agonizing deaths of his loved ones, each cycle more nightmarish and vivid than the last. The weight of guilt, the crushing helplessness – they gnawed at Izuku's very core, tearing at the very fabric of his being.

Starved, and weakened, Izuku's body again became a mere shell of its former self. His Vibrant emerald eyes dulled, their luster replaced by the pallor of pain and exhaustion. He could feel his sanity slipping, as the relentless assault on his mind eroded his resilience. Thoughts of escape, of finding release in death's embrace, whispered in the darkest corners of his thoughts.

But even in the depths of his despair, a flicker of a flame remained. Embers of unyielding spirit blazed within Izuku's soul, stubbornly refusing to be snuffed out. It was as though his battered and broken soul cradled those delicate embers, fragile yet determined, in his trembling hands. The onslaught of illusions and torment threatened to blow those embers out, to plunge him into the abyss of nothingness. Yet, there he stood, holding on with every ounce of strength he has left, his fingers curling protectively around both those sparks of his past and present... the two sides of his soul. He clung to the memories of Katsuki, their bond, their shared history, as a lifeline. The pain of losing Katsuki over and over again was excruciating, but it also fueled him to hold out until he was saved.

As he stared into the darkness, the echoes of Katsuki's voice reverberated in his mind, urging him to keep fighting, to endure, that he was searching for him desperately.... that he was coming for him. Izuku knew he couldn't succumb to the madness that threatened to swallow him. He had to find the strength within himself to withstand the mental onslaught and outlast the physical deprivation, to wait for his beloved to find him.

In the midst of Izuku's tormented thoughts, the chilling silence was suddenly broken by the grating creak of the chamber door. A tremor raced down Izuku's spine at the sound, his heart galloping in terror within his chest. Reptilian eyes glinted as they pierced the darkness, their presence a grim reminder of the never-ending cycle of suffering that awaited him.

Their unfeeling gaze bore into Izuku, devoid of mercy or compassion. It approached him with a cold detachment hissing in delight their grip around his weakened arm radiating icy cruelty. Wincing, Izuku felt his body protest, already battered and bruised from the relentless onslaughts before. Each movement felt like an ordeal, yet he mustered what remained of his inner resolve to resist their grasp.

As they forcefully pulled him towards the chamber, Izuku's mind raced. He was all too familiar with the horrors that awaited him within: the dim illumination of the room, the monster lurking in its heart. To Izuku it had truly become a chamber of nightmares, a place where the limits of his physical and mental endurance were pushed beyond their limits.
