"Where we going?" Izuku's voice broke through the quiet as Katsuki stepped out of the car.
"I told you I'm not telling you until we get there," Katsuki retorted, a playful glint in his crimson eyes as he shut the car door behind him. Leaning casually against the car's side, he scanned their surroundings with an intensity that came naturally to him. His keen habit of assessing the area had developed over time, a response to the constant threat that the League of Villains posed. With each passerby, each subtle movement, he sized up potential dangers, his instincts honed to a fine edge.
Satisfied with his assessment, Katsuki pushed off the car and adjusted the collar of his jacket, his fingers absently tracing the outline of a small, folded map he retrieved from his pocket. He meticulously reviewed the route to their destination. Every detail mattered to him; he wanted the day to unfold flawlessly, to make this day memorable for Izuku.
The bag slung over his shoulder was filled with essentials. Water, snacks, a compact first aid kit, and a cozy blanket were carefully packed. Katsuki had learned through experience that preparation was crucial, especially when it came to Izuku's well-being.
The creak of the car door opening drew his attention, and he turned to find Izuku stepping out, a shiver running through him. Without a second thought, Katsuki closed the gap between them, his presence a shield against the cold bite in the air.
A radiant smile lit up Izuku's face as he stood by Katsuki's side, unaware of Katsuki's heightened awareness. Looking up at Katsuki with curious eyes, he couldn't contain his anticipation any longer.
""So, are you going to tell me now?" Izuku's impatience was evident, his wide green eyes fixed on Katsuki.
Katsuki sighed, momentarily letting his guard down as he glanced at Izuku. There was a unique satisfaction in unveiling something special to Izuku, in knowing that he had meticulously planned a day to create lasting memories.
"Alright, fine," Katsuki relented, a faint smile playing at his lips. "We're going to a special park. I want to show you something."
Inhaling deeply, Katsuki led the way into the park, the path beneath their feet crunched with fallen leaves. Autumn's warm colors enveloped them, casting a warm and inviting ambiance. The park was bustling with families, couples, and friends, all seeking peace in the beauty of nature.
As they ventured further into the park, Katsuki's alert gaze remained vigilant, constantly scanning their surroundings for any potential threats. His protective instincts had sharpened over time, fueled by his unwavering desire to keep Izuku safe.
Together, they strolled through the park, Katsuki gradually easing his heightened vigilance in the comforting presence of Izuku by his side. The foliage provided a picturesque backdrop, creating a serene atmosphere around them. They passed by a charming little crepe standnestled beneath a canopy of trees, the irresistible aroma of freshly made crepes wafting through the air.
The scent of crepes reached Katsuki's nose, momentarily diverting his attention. He looked at Izuku, noticing the spark of excitement in his eyes. A mischievous smirk formed on Katsuki's face as an idea took shape in his mind.
"Hey, Nerd," Katsuki spoke up, a playful tone lacing his voice. "How about we make a quick stop here?"
Izuku turned towards him, his expression lighting up even more. "Really? Can we, Kacchan?"
