July 13th, 1996

The scooters were hands down a hit while on this tour. Everyone enjoyed themselves for a few more hours till it was time we started making our way over to the restaurant we had agreed on for lunch. Saying that I was excited to see everyone together was an understatement. Being out on the road for as long as we have made you appreciate everything you had waiting for you back at home, we found ourselves cherishing it just that much more whenever we were finally home. I am missing the days of walking around my house in my pjs, not having to rush around and fulfill requirements that were expected. I missed having slow days, miss being lazy.

Darrell and I made our way towards the vans outside that sat waiting to take us to lunch, hand in hand. We stood and waited our turn to get in when I felt a pair of eyes staring at me. At first, I didn't see anyone being odd till my eyes thought to look over my shoulder, there I saw both William and Sean outside the venue. William was holding a conversation with Sean, but Sean didn't look to be too involved. It was his pair of eyes that I had felt staring at me. What was this guy's problem? In all my years I had never met someone who was so blunt and obvious like this. My thoughts were cut short when I felt Darrell lightly touch my arm, "you ok?" Darrell must have felt me jump from his touch. I was about to answer him when his eyes finally looked in the direction that I was staring at. "That piece of shit is still looking at you," he seethed, it was clear that he was pissed. A pissed off Darrell could be unpredictable sometimes.

Holding Darrell's leather tightly around my body, I tried to regain Darrell's attention, "baby, if he is going to look then why not give him something to look at?" Darrell looked at me confused at first, but then caught on to what I was hinting. Leaning forward, Darrell pulled me in before capturing my lips with his, not waiting for permission when forcing his tongue within my mouth. Darrell was someone who felt if he was going to put on a show for anyone, he was going to make it count. What I didn't think through though was how turned on I was becoming from this steamy kiss.

Darrell and I may have kissed a million times, but he was still able to kiss me stupid. I was intoxicated by not just his smell, but also by his taste. The kiss ended when we each needed to break for air, the kiss affected both me and Darrell. "God damn baby, I don't think I can behave myself during this lunch now that I had a sample of the goods. I am finding myself struggling in keeping my hands to myself," Darrell confessed. After all these years, we were still kids madly in love.

Leaning closer to my guitar god, our eyes staying connected as I grabbed his necklace to pull him towards me. "Then don't," I breathed, seductively licking at his lips while sneaking a caress towards his crotch. My actions earned me a groan from Darrell, telling me that I had him where I wanted him. Darrell quickly shot his eyes back in the direction where Sean last stood, "I can see we've upset our new Sabian fan club president," hearing him chuckle.

The drive to Campo Verde only took 33 minutes from where the show was being held tonight, the restaurant had become a favorite of mine and Darrell's while we were home, they had really good food and the atmosphere was always enjoyable, Darrell loved their rattlesnake fajitas. I felt myself grow excited when I finally noticed Rita with both Carolyn and Jerry, waiting for us to pull up. "Ahh!" I squealed, stepping out of the van and running towards Rita with open arms. Rita jumped up in down till we finally tackled one another, "bitch, I missed you!"

Vinnie came over, rolling his eyes, "you would think you two haven't seen each other in years." Carolyn frowned at her oldest son, "you hush now!" We all turned to head inside while Carolyn stayed behind to talk with her boys, "how has the drive been for you boys?" Darrell rubbed his forehead and shrugged, "hah, well we are alive still!"

More people eventually showed up and joined us, Phil even made an appearance which was always appreciated. Not much has been said between the two of us, but I could tell that the distance between us was affecting him. Apparently, Grady confronted the singer, telling him that what had happened was not what family did. Phil since then has been careful around me. There were moments where we were able to catch a small glimpse of the old Phil, only small ones though. I wanted to respect the space he wanted, but it was hard not to miss the Phil I once knew.
