Potions

Monday January 11th 

Professor snape is pacing back and forth trough the room while saying: "Students we have a quiz today, so quills in hand an no cheating, I hope no one has been slacking over break, because it will cost you"
Yay a quiz first class of the day, of course its snape, he passes a paper to each students and I look over at Hermione and she whispers to me: "Good luck"
"I don't think I will need it"
Hermione: "If you say so"
Snape passes the test to me and says: "And no cheating with the sisters I assume"
Hermione: "Of course not professor"
Snape: "Good, Miss granger, and what about you miss granger"
He looks directly into my eyes and I say: "Have I ever cheated in your class professor?"
Snape: "I haven't caught you do it, just keep eyes on your own test"
It's a test with 15 questions and they seem pretty easy so I think it will go just fine.
Question one: What type of potion does Golpalott's third law pertain to? Okay easy question antidotes obviously, I am going to kill this test for sure. Question two: What fluxweed and boomslang skin used for? Polyjuice, I got this, now question three. I keep going until I see the first question where to choose an option, I look at question number six and think is this A, B or C? The question sounds: What colour is the potion for dreamless sleep? A: Blue. B: Purple or C: White
I think back to when we made it, I know it wasn't white, but was it blue or purple? It was a blueish purple, but what would snape say? I think its B because it was more purple than blue. I circle answer B and move on to question seven: How should your scintillation solution look? A: Boiling. B: Still or C: Sparkling. The answer is obviously C, we did this potion just before the break so I remember clearly it sparkling. I circle answer C. and I'm pretty happy with my answers so far and then snape says: "10 more minutes"
Shit, I still need to answer eight questions, I think to myself: "Okay Harlow, you can do this no stress." Question eight: What colour is Garrotting Gas?

Question nine: What is the antidote to Swelling Solution?

"Five minutes" Snape yells
Okay now I know now, on to question number eleven: Which of the following reptile's blood is used for Wiggenweld Potion?, A: Snake, B: Gecko, C: Crocodile Or D: Salamander.
this one isn't tricky at all, it's D: salamander for sure.
Question twelve: What is the effect of Wideye Potion?
​A: Keeps you awake? or B: Makes you fall asleep?
A makes the most sense
Question thirteen; What is the best way to extract juice from the Sopophorous Bean?
​A: Crush it or B: cut it?
You crush it, even if the recipe says otherwise.
Question fourteen; What does Veritaserum taste like?
A: Sweet, B: It has no taste at all or C: Salty
Of course veritaserum has no taste. Okay last question
Question fifteen; Which dry ingredient is used in a wideye potion?
This one is easy, its Billywig Sting:
"Times up, quills down, look up" Snape says firmly, and then he walks over to Neville who desperately is trying to write the last answers down, "Didn't you hear my Mr. Longbottom?"
With a shaky voice Neville answer: "Sorry professor, I needed to answer the last question"
Professor: "Unacceptable, class dismissed"

"Was it just me or was snape even more snape than usual" Ginny says while walking to next class.
"Maybe he's just not ready to teach again after a vacation"
Ginny: "Maybe, Idk, but are you ready for transfiguration?"
"Yeah I am, are you?"
Ginny: "I thought I was, but what if McGonagall has planned a test too?"
"I don't think so, its McGonagall, not the female snape"
Ginny: "you are right, she will be kind as usual"
"Yes, come on, we will be late"
