Sunday November 4th

"Snape asked for you" says Hermione after a while of silence.

"What did he say?"

Hermione: "Just that if you want to eat, you should be eating with the rest of the school"

"Oh, but that's too late now"

Hermione: "I'm sorry, I tried bringing something up"

"That's okay, at least you tried."

Hermione: "I'm going over to Hagrid's with the boys, maybe I can get you something from there"

"Okay, just promise me it won't be those disgusting stoat sandwiches"
Hermione laughs: "I cant promise, but I'll see what I can do"

"Thanks"

Hermione gets up and goes over to my desk and she sees the painting of Astra and says surprised: "Did you make this?"

"Yeah, I did"

Hermione: "I knew you painted, but I didn't know that you were this good"

"I mostly keep it for myself, the only one who has seen it is Ginny".

Hermione: "When did Ginny see it?"

"A couple weeks ago"

Hermione: "Can I see the painting she saw?"

"I gave it to her"

Hermione: "Oh okay, what was the motive?"

"It was a painting of the school."

I lie because I don't want Hermione to think I'm wired for painting Ginny.

Hermione: "Okay, do you have other drawings or anything"

"No, they are all at home."

Hermione: "I swear I always see you hiding stuff in your drawer"

"No, I don't"

Hermione: "Then you don't mind me taking a look?"

Before I get to say anything she has opened my drawer and taking one picture out after the other, and when she holds up my poem I gasp, she starts reading it: ""Am I in love with her, I can't be, I've had a crush on Sebastian for forever, can your feelings change so easily, maybe, I'm confused "Maybe it was a onetime thing, you can't be in love after one kiss can you? What did Hermione say? She said something like: "and then we kissed, and it was like the whole world just disappeared."

Hermione looks at me and says: "Who did you kiss?"

"No-one"

Hermione: "So this poem is a lie?"

"Yes"

Hermione: "I can see that you are lying, this poem is real, who was your first kiss?"
"Sebastian"
Hermione: "But then who is this about?"

"I already told you, its about no-one"
I get up and rip the paper out of her hand and say angrily: "And you have no business in my drawer anyway"
I turn around to storm out I feel Hermione's eyes on me as she says: "Was your first kiss with Ginny?"

I freeze and says: "Would that be a problem if it was"

Hermione: "Not at all, I see how you two looks at each other"

I turn around again and walk closer to Hermione and says: "It doesn't matter anyway, she's with Harry."

Hermione: "But she looks at you in a different way, and she has never looked at Harry that way"

"You are just saying that."

Hermione: "Why would I do that; you are my sister"

"And Harry's your best friend"

Hermione: "Yeah but if Harry was more important I would have been lying right now, and I'm not"

"Really, do you think I have a chance with Ginny?"
Hermione: "I don't know, but maybe, as you wrote, the world disappeared, right?"
"Yeah, it felt so unreal, but amazing at the same time"

Hermione: "But how did the kiss happen?"

"She said that it was for practise, but I felt it like so much more"

Hermione: "Practise?"
"Yeah, for Harry"
Hermione: "She was definitely lying"

"How do you know?"

Hermione: "She has kissed Harry before"

"When?"

Hermione: "I'm not sure, Harry told me"

"Harry tells you about his kiss with Ginny?"

Hermione: "Yes and no, Ron asked if they had kissed and Harry answered"
"Okay"

Hermione goes over to me and hugs me: "Give it a shot with Ginny."

"Thanks, I will"

Hermione: "I have to meet the boys" she pauses and then says: "Why don't you join?"

"I would love to, but I think I will find Ginny"
Hermione: "You do that, join us another time okay"
"Thanks"

Hermione leaves and I sit down and write a note to Ginny: "Meet me in the library after dinner?"

I give the note to Astra, and she flies away.
