In the shadow of Hermione Granger.

Ginny Weasley

                                                                                                                                                         Monday October 22nd

As I leave class to go to my dorm, Ginny catches me on the way out: "Hey Harlow, where are you going"
Ginny is my best friend, she is the only one I can be myself with: "I'm going to my dorm, why?"
"Oh, nothing I was just thinking if you wanted to study together today".
Ginny and I studies together pretty often, or I don't know how much we study, but we try to: "Yeah, sure let's do that"?
Ginny: "Great, meet me in the library in 10"
"I'll be there".
Ginny turns around and smiles: "See ya".

As soon as I walk into the library, Ginny smiles and waves me over to her and a couple others forth years, as myself, I start to walk over to them, they all smile when I sit down beside Ginny.
Ginny Weasley is Ron Weasley's little sister and the youngest and only girl in the Weasley family, Hermione is best friends with Ron and Harry. Ginny was sweet to me from the first day, I have always had trouble fitting in somewhere, but Ginny makes it easier here, and she will always be my best friend.
While we study, I drift out into my own thoughts, after a little while I can feel Ginny's eyes on me and she says worried: "Harlow, are you okay?" I shake my thoughts off me and says: "Yeah totally fine" it comes out a little to sarcastic. Ginny says: "Hey guys, I think we might be done for today" the others nod and start to pack up, and Ginny takes my arm and drags me to the corner, she looks even more worried now: "Harlow, are you sure you are okay"
"Yeah, I told you, I'm fine"
Ginny: "I can see somethings up"
"Okay" I take a short breath and continues then: "It's Hermione".
Ginny: "Yeah, what's with her"
"I cant keep up with her, she's so smart and I cant even answer a simple question"
Ginny: "Don't think about it that way"
"Then how should I think about it?" I am curious about what she finds out, because that could change a lot, all my life I have been behind Hermione, I'm younger, shorter, not as smart, not as strong as her, it gets tiring, I need to stop thinking about it so much, but its really hard when we are both in Gryffindor and we share a dorm-room. 
Ginny: "Think about it this way; You are good at other things that she isn't"
"And what am I better than her in?"
Ginny: "You draw and you write your own stories, you are way more creative than her"
"That's true, but she gets to go on fun adventures with Harry and Ron all the time"
Ginny: "Yeah but she didn't ask for those, she does it to support Harry"
"She choses to support Harry, but Harry have never chosen the adventures, its not his fault Voldemort is after him, as for Ron, he is only there because Harry is his friend"
Ginny: "Yeah that's true but they have nearly been killed several times, would you go on their adventures knowing you might be killed"
"Well of course not, I just want to see some more than just the school"
Ginny: "Okay, then lets us plan a trip somewhere outside school, just the two of us"
"Would you do that for me?" I look at her with a slight excitement.
Ginny: "Yeah of course, you are my friend, and I would love to go on adventures too"
"Thank you so much Ginny, you are the best friend ever".
We hug and plan to discuss our trip further tomorrow, then we go back to our dorm-rooms.
