"Yeah Tiana, you called"

"Yeah, I just wanted to ask for a favour, is that alright with you"

"Ofcourse gurl, Ask away"

"So, you know my boyfriend's bestfriend is shifting subjects, he is taking psychology and since I and Taehyung are in your team already and I have asked aria also can you allow another teammate as the group leader"

The world stopped for the 16 year old taeri. It was her birthday tomorrow and is this the gift she is getting for her birthday? She knows who Taehyung's best friend is.

She primarily became his friend for the best friend after all.

"Yes" she answers a very breathy yes because that is all she could conjure.

Taeri was in her car, starring at the acceptance letter she was going to submit. If she does, Winston international is out of question.

A fucking dillema, she rushed the car to the only person she wanted to meet. It was almost pathetic how much solace she received in his presence when he never felt anything.

Jimin pov...

I was kind of tired even though I got to sleep an hour extra while Sarang walked all over me and gave me a body massage.

The emergency room is an absolute headache and apparently I'm incharge of it for a month now. Seo min is working in the ER with me for the same month. I'm not sure why.

It's only been 8 or something and I'm already tired. Why do so many people get injured and hurt, early morning.

"Aghh" a female scream woke me out of the drowsy state. I looked to my right and at a distance I saw the source of the sound.

"Holy-"
"Holy shit"

I looked to my left and saw seo min. Yeah holy shit, I have been trying to curse less so I don't do that infront of Sarang. But here you go, seo min doesn't have such restrictions.

"What are you doing here" I asked him before wiping my face with my hand. "Oh I came here to inform you. Taeri came to the reception asking for you, I saw her and she is currently waiting for you in our shared office." He said and took the words.

"Oh, she is here to meet me and I look like this-"

"Jimin, she has seen you in your eyeliner with a mask era in middle school. I don't think so your exhausted ghost look fazes her" he said and I was offended.

He is too brutal.

"Yeah, actually makes sense but she wouldn't remember that-"

"JIMIN, taeri was good at everything but there was one thing she was shockingly too good at." Seo min drags and I look at him

Oh yeah ofcourse. "Her memory, she was good at remembering even fine details" when I said seo min nodded.

I combed my messy hair with my fingers while I jogged towards my office. I opened the door and there she was sitting gracefully, her legs crossed and titled to the side. Hands still on her lap, while two cups of coffee and some food packages were on the table with her purse.

I paused at the sight. The has always been so powerful, so alluring, the moment I will step inside the room, she will smile at me, but I guess I see too much but there is always this thing missing in her eyes.

"Hey, Taeri!!" I called her name out and she immediately turned to me and as always that smile.

I walked towards her and dragged a chair on the way. "hey, so how are you here?" I ask and she looked at me.

"Lunch, let's have lunch here" she says and pushes the bento boxes towards me. She definitely loves bento boxes. I kept looking at her while she opened teb box, passed me chopsticks and opened her's too.

I was confused but started eating the food. "Jimin, I love you" I spurted the food out and coughed and she already had the glass ready which she immediately gave me.

"I chose to work at yonsei so I can work here with you, infact I have liked you since we were in high school. But right now as a friend what do you think is good for me." She said nonchalantly and then paused before she continued while I was silent all along.

" should I be a professor at yonsei or take over the school and be it's Dean?" She asked and expected an answer from me.

Okay so basically, she confessed to be loving me, not for a while but more than a decade and the fact that we were so confused why she chose to be a professor it was because of me and she wants me to decided for her.

I dunno what came inside of me, I said the first thing that came to my head.

"School's Dean" I blurted and she nodded before she took out a paper envelope from her bag and tore it infront of me before tossing the paper parts inside the dustbin.

"Okay jimin, thank you so much love" she says before getting up and leaving the room gracefully.

And just like that she left leaving me in that room rethinking everything. Does this change anything? She literally loves me, do I? Have I ever considered her anything more than an academic rival, a good friend?

So what exactly happens here? I never liked ha na, she was a friend not a lover. My wife never loved me and I never loved her. The woman I birth my daughter with left me was a lover of the past however Taeri?

What exactly is she to me?
