The Liar And Her Love

chapter 03:

-April 2019-

A year had went by, and the kids were 14, taeri had her first heartbreak. The guy she liked didn't like her, she was walking down the staircase with her head low, the students were moving down in a line. There was chaos behind her.

Suddenly she felt a weight upon her, she looked around and saw a guy, he was pushed by a friend. He bowed multiple times in an apology. But she was too heart broken to say anything.

"Jimin, she didn't kill?" The friend says starring in the same direction as jimin. Jimin was surprised, in a year taeri had gained the popularity for picking up fights out of nowhere.

And she just let him go. Something must be up, he kept looking at her while they were walking out of the school. Jimin's friend was walking side by side to her when he suddenly asked. "It's been a year, aren't you going to approach her and tell her about how you met her before she even entered school?" He ask and jimin shook his head.

"Ani, we aren't friends, we don't even acknowledge each other's presence. Why does it matter, anyways I think I'm finally going to ask her out" he says and his friend looks at him with wide eyes.

"Who?"

"Duh, Da Hye!! Who else." He said and walks away smiling.

His friend stood there flabbergasted, he didn't actually understand his brain, he looks at someone else and claims to like someone else.

-August 2033-

Taeri entered a tall and glamorous apartment complex, it had beautiful landscape. The trees were maintained. There were people in costly cars being dropped by their drivers infront of the building entrance. It was a huge skyscraper. Taeri parked her car in the underground parking, using her keycard she gained access to the lift and entered it.

After pressing the 24th floor out of 26 floors, She was zoned out all the while. She didn't care about the people entering and leaving the lift, when it was her floor she got out and walked towards one of the houses on the floor. There were just two of them there, she entered the code and entered the appartment.

She took off her heels and picked them up, walking barefoot she walked through the foyer, which had antique wooden sitting on one side and a glass cabinet from top to bottom on the other side.

There were numerous family photos there which had her and a young man, and various small items. Everything held some meaning, the foyer lead the way to the living room, which had a dip, and the couches could be accessed after climbing down the two steps. On the left was a small hallway that led to the guest room while the rest of the house was on the right.

There was a huge glass frame that gave the view of the city, the ceiling was high.

There was a glass divider that separated the huge kitchen and dining table on the right of the living room. On its left there was a glass area which had a couch and a indoor garden, it too gave a beautiful view of the city, the ceiling had a glass opening at a section to use the telescope to observe stars at night, there was an elevated platform in the middle which was made out of marble and a pool chair on it, the marble platform was surrounded by water and it had a lot of koi fishes. Adjacent to the indoor garden was a bedroom, it had french windows that opened to the indoor garden. But there was a door that opened to the bedroom without accessing the indoor garden.

She entered that bedroom, there was a door to the huge washroom just as she entered, she walked in and threw her purse on the bed, she entered her wardrobe and put her heels before starring at the balcony, it too had french windows. She just closed the curtains and left. Her room additionally also had a table with a PC and one of her wall was a huge shelf filled with books, she grabbed a huge hair pin from her vanity table next to the desk.

She opened her coat and threw it on the bed before stepping outside again.

She was in her dress, and bare foot now, while she climbed up the stairs to go to the loft, she tied her hair in a bun and pinned the hair pin on it. The loft had two rooms. One of them was easily visible since it had french windows. The room consisted of just a huge library and a huge desk. It was clear, it's an office. Another room was locked. She knocked before entering but there was no response. So she decided to enter it anyway.

The room was dark, she switched on the light to see someone was asleep. The room wasnt as spacious as hers, infact one part of the ceiling was slanted with a glass window that gave the view of the sky.

There were slide cabinets under it, to hang dresses and store clothes the area was carpeted and 2 bean bags were placed with a guitar leaning against one of the bean bags. On the other side there was a huge table with a gaming setup on one part and books piled up on another. There was a French window in this room too, the view was of the living room and the indoor garden. There was a floor bed on an elevated wooden platform and a projector screen opposite to it and there was a door leading to the washroom.

She starred at the figure sleeping on the bed. She bent down and lifted the blanket fo see a young teen boy sleeping peacefully. She sighed before shooking his body. "Ri, Ri!! Ryan!! Seo Ryan" she calls while trying to wake him up.

The boy groaned before opening his eyes to see Taeri. "Noona, you are here?" He asked in sleep with a smile. "Yeah, I am. Now get up, let's have some food. Ms.park told me you were sick" she said and the boy got up with sleepy smile.

"I had a fever last night, but I'm fine. How was your flight" he asked and taeri got up and hummed. "It was tiring, I went directly to the graveyard, my bags are still in the car, get them when you feel fine" she said and he nodded.

"Arasso" both the siblings climbed down the staircase with Taeri leading and the boy following close by. He was in a black track pant and a white tee shirt. He was walking down while rubbing his eyes.

"When are you going back to school? I'll drop you on your first day, we will get the admission sorted and then we are good to go" she said as she opened the glass door to the kitchen area.

The boy followed her closely and walked to the glass wall and pulled down a projector screen and sat on the table. He picks up a remote and switches the projector on before he starts speaking.

"I'm literally in the last year of high school noona, if I didn't have a gap year, I could have already been a college student I can handle that" he says while he was focused on finding something in Netflix. It came up as a suprise when she smacked the back of his head and walked back to Searching something to eat.

"Owww" the boy complained and looked at his sister. " What was that for!?"

"For trying to act old, you can act independent for the rest of your high school, but I'll drop you to school on your first day, attend parent teacher meetings, your special events, your matches, drop you on exam days and pick you up whenever you feel sick, get into a fight or just want me." She says and turns to look at him

"You don't have to feel guilty, I'm you noona, you can stay dependent on me for the rest of your life and I will still raise you. Is that clear? " She asks.

The edge of his lips had curled up, he nodded. "Now that you are big boy, I'll not pry into yor privacy but I appreciate if you don't hide anything from me, I won't judge" she says while trying to look for things.

The boy just nodded.

"Ryan! You are back for a week now, WHY IS THERE NOTHING TO EAT EXCEPT FEW PACKETS IF RAMEN!?" she asks extremely frustrated. All the cabinets were open and they were empty.

"I would just order take out...., there is a-a -a packet of ramen on the second shelf from the right- let's have that for today" he says with a nervous smile and Taeri just face palms.

"We are going grocery shopping in the evening"

"Arasso captain" Ryan says casually and Taeri get back to cooking the ramen.
