A month into therapy and I made the best decision of my life. I laid down on the operation table in the hospital robe. Never more certain.

I was getting my tubes tied.

I'm not going to procreate. I end my bloodline with me, I'm being dramatic Ryan may extend the blood line but I'm not going to have a daughter and ruin her life just like my mother did.

I'm messed up and I'm not going to mess a child up if I bring them to this world.

Honestly, it's selfish to give birth to a child and bring them into this wrecked world. Moreover it's too polluted and populated already to add on it.

"We are registering local anaesthesia" I heard before I started feeling drowsy.

Yes, my dear child who was never conceived. Thank me later.

Taeri drove Ryan and his friend to school, dropped Sarang to her school and brought me to her office. Currently we were in her huge bigger than my whole flat cabin along with some lawyers from the law firm associated with Winston.

The funniest thing is the law firm sent their best lawyer aka the man who married the daughter of the managing partner aka Sam pil soon.

Taeri however couldn't care less. Pil soon has been staring at her all the while, even the other lawyers with him noticed that.

"Did you know?" I ask her in whsipers.

"Know what?" She asked in whsipers reading the paper. All of them were reading the papers.

"About pil soon" I whispered.

She nodded "ofcourse I did, this law firm has been managing my assets since the day everything fell upon me. Ofcourse I knew about him, I just couldn't care less" she said and I nodded.

"Okay, this is absurd" Taeri said as she finished reading it.

"What is absurd?" I asked.

Everyone exchanged glances, before one of the senior lawyers decided to speak.

"Lee Nari requests for full custody of the child now that she is financially stable and a director at Kim industries. She claims your unstable financial situation and broken family is not good for Sarang. She expects you to willingly sign on the paper or it's going to court" she said and wave of panic clouded me.

"Can you all prepare yourself for a rebuttal? Can we counter sue her?" Taeri asks.

"Anything for you" pil soon said and Taeri rolled her eyes.

"Mr.choi please look into it" she ignored pil soon and requested the other senior lawyer. All of them nodded smiled and left, also dragged pil soon out.

She walks to her table from the couch and  presses the intercom. "Ava get me two mugs of chocolate" she orders her assistant and turns to me. She sits just infront of me grabbing my hand.

"She won't get Sarang, not on my watch." She said and I nodded.

I trusted her.

"But, after all this time why now?" I asked in despair Taeri sighed.

I looked at her.
She knows.

She took a huge breath and sat next to me.

"Kim Seokjin is in a fight of inheritance with his younger half brother. A lot of things matter in such a case of inheritance, age, skills, educational qualification and who has an heir. He can't birth a child immediately so he has to marry someone with a child and adopt them.

Hence why Nari desperately needs to be a single mother if she wants to marry into the rich Household. She is in a contract relationship with kim Seokjin. She is smart and had good education qualifications he promoted her as well. She is perfect. Not many people know about the whole scheme but I do, I couldn't care less if they fall in love or something but there is no way Sarang is going to them. Trust me" she said and I nodded.

And groaned.

"Is Kim Seokjin very powerful?" I ask.

She chuckled.

"Absolutely, me and him are close but are mortal enemies. He wouldn't hesitate to throw me under the bus if he wants to win but trust me I can beat him. He may be the King Kim but I'm Seo Taeri, power is my middle name.

Also, Kim Seokjin is just playing safe with having a family and a child, he doesn't exactly need so much to win the votes. He is already quite talented, he would dump her the moment this whole thing becomes stressful for him ." She added

Her words made me laugh, and gave me assurance.

I looked at her, for me she had become the epitome of comfort, security and heaven.
